Here’s one I’m extremely piffed off about right now. Instead of coming up with a decent send-off for a character that’s being written out of a series, they just say eff it and kill him 😡

Well, first, crying though and entire game is not my idea of a good time. But, mainly, I think it’s a huge disservice to long time fans and to the main character of the series for almost twenty years, to take such a lazy, uncreative, and uncaring way to write him out of the series. The fans and the character deserve better and I won’t support it.

Have you ever enjoyed a game so much that you deliberately dragged out the later stages just so you'll get to play it for longer? in c/gaming@level-up.zone

It hasn’t come out yet, but, I was REALLY looking forward to Yakuza 8. Won’t be playing it now.

Lost a bet so I have to get my kids a non-Nintendo system. At this point, is there good reason to go with Xbox over PS5 (or vice versa)? in c/gaming@level-up.zone

PS5 with a disc drive so they can also play PS4 games. PlayStation has more games for younger kids than XBox and, from just out personal experience, XBoxes tend to be more finicky about everything. From being moved around to where and how they’re plugged in. They also don’t last as long. Everything else, from the N64 and Dreamcast through the Switch and the PS5, we have all our originals. The XBoxes are the ones that have stopped working and we’ve had to replace. A few times. My kids have always been very careful with their consoles, so, it’s not a user issue. Again, this is a personal experience and opinion, so, do with it what you will and good luck!

The entire Yakuza / Like a Dragon series. I farmed and fished in Ishin for an insane amount of hours and have been doing real estate in Zero for days now.

No. My kids and I play video games, but, my husband prefers DnD and card games like MTG.

Fire Emblem Three Houses. Having to kill people that were won your team in a previous playthrough sucks. Now, I just try to recruit everyone.

Fire Emblem Three Houses. I keep picking different teams and making them different classes. An all magic team. A cavalry. I never get bored. This game is always on the back burner when I just want a game to mess with.
