I mean let's face it, supernatural monsters requires less of a suspension of disbelief than the fact that the majority of these hidden places that Nate goes to haven't already been discovered by satellite imaging and other modern mapping technologies.

I think there are certain games where it would definitely get a lot of use, particularly open world games.

Given that consoles can lock parts of games from being recorded/screen captured which involves pausing external apps which live on the console I would not think it would be a massive leap to at least be able to set a game to pause a consoles music playing/streaming app when a cutscene starts.

The Witcher 3.

I was told before completing it that once I beat the final boss I won't be able to go back and mop up all the sidequests so when I started getting towards the end of the main quest I made sure I finished everything else first.

Better integration for external music players.

Remember back in 2002 when GTA3 was released on PC and they gave us the option of playing our own MP3s from the car radio? Your music would only play when you were in the car with that radio station selected. It would stop during cutscenes or when you got out of the car or turned it off in game. This became the norm for GTA games in the 00s but hasn't really been implemented anywhere else.

There's loads of games where I want to be able to listen to my own music whilst I play and to be able to control that music from within the game and have it pause when I enter a cutscene. I want to be able to swing around New York in Spider-Man and not have my music keep playing over the top in a background app when I receive an in game phonecall or enter a cutscene, or to be able to only have my playlist playing when I am driving in cyberpunk.

It shouldn't be difficult to add a custom MP3 option to any modern game (especially on PC) and integration for streaming services should be doable to (although may require more third party support from the relevant streaming companies)

I kinda it always seemed a bit daft but equally when they got rid of that in Uncharted 4 I kinda missed it.

I think even tho it made the combat less fun I accepted the supernatural stuff because the franchises that Uncharted was influenced by all have supernatural elements too, Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, etc

Got to agree with Starfield. I literally upgraded my graphics card to play it and have barely played it. I just found it at best boring and at worst annoying. I was expecting a Bethesda RPG with a massive universe to explore would actually give me some freedom to role play and forge my own path through the game. But it just plays like a 2 generation old game with modern graphics with very little freedom of choice - just multiple ways to say yes to everything you are asked to do and no consequences if you say no beyond often not being able to progress at all until you say yes.

That's a good point, not sure if the new structure will change that or not. It would be stupid if not as for teams playing in the UEL and UECL the opportunity to qualify for the next tournament up is a bigger prize than the actual trophy or prize money awarded.

VAR has never been the problem.

The problem is that referees are not consistent enough with decisions, in part due to bodies like UEFA, the FA, IFAB, etc constantly tinkering with the guidelines of what is/isn't offside, handball, etc

Especially when winning the Europa League could well be Newcastle's best chance to get back into the Champions League next season. They are far from guaranteed another top 4 spot but realistically could beat pretty much anyone in the EL in knockout football.

Tetris.

Whenever I pick up my Switch and browse through my available games 90% of the time I find myself loading up the GB player and playing Tetris. It's just a nice relaxing game that I can pick up and play without needing to worry about progression or saves and can just play whilst relaxing watching a movie.
