Who says they aren't already .... it takes a bit of time for the hatchlings to mature inside their hosts.
It would be a great place to spread infection across the galaxy. You'd have contestants coming in from everywhere and then spreading the parasites back to their home worlds.

I would watch a two part episode that spans seasons about a Romulan spy acting as Ms. Vulcan in order to extract a Federation asset into the neutral zone.

some uh people out there in our federation don’t have maps and uh I believe that our education like such as in Ferrenginar and uh the Cardassia everywhere such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the federation should help the federation uh or uh should help Ferrenginar and should help the Cardassia so we will be able to build up our future
