Millions of people sat out the election because they couldn't be bothered to vote for a corporate apologist. There's nothing criminal about being stupid, but I think you'll find I'm not. There's absolutely nothing magical about splitting one in a two party system and ending up with three parties, it is in fact the most basic math. Whoever the Republicans run will be Trump, by the way, and I actually think that if it's made clear to the DNC establishment ASAP that the rabble is sick of the normal playbook there wouldn't be any need to take this strategy past the primaries. But go on with your unsupported knee jerk ad hominem. I have faith in democracy, let's wait a bit and see what the people think.

Absolutely, and to be extra clear I wasn't talking about the actual indigenous tribal areas that do exist there but the predominantly white mostly rural evangelical communities that are to my view analogous to the tribal areas in Afghanistan and Pakistan in the way that Neal Stephenson describes in the excellent book Fall: or, Dodge in Hell when he talks about Ameristan. No harm no foul, I'm glad there's someone paying attention to the feed and vigilant against bad faith or racist commentary.
Also don't forget to enfranchise Puerto Rico along with DC.
Absolutely. 2028 is counterintuitively not for "anyone but Trump" but for someone more radical than Bernie to split the votes away from whatever milquetoast garbage candidate the DNC dreams up and give them a wake-up call, possibly even ushering in a multiparty system along the way.

But my intention was to highlight both the irony of the US asking for investment (ridiculous), and the fact that if investment was made it would be best deployed in the areas Trump considers his core base areas (which he has actually threatened to remove, in terms of defunding health care and education). The fact is that the US has systemically failed to invest in low income areas and particularly in public goods that benefit people of color and disenfranchised Appalachian communities in the Southeast. A call for investment at Davos is basically a call for bribes, and wildly disingenuous against the backdrop of pulling funding from WHO. If that's not the kind of commentary you're interested in I'll be happy to take my attention elsewhere, and if I whooshed you with my quick wit earlier and somehow implied something racist, sorry, and I still don't understand, feel free to clarify.

The real answer is to get so active in radical state level politics that we can flip the states rights narrative right back around and get what we want without firing a shot. The beautiful part of that strategy is that the MAGA freaks are already putting 110% of their momentum in that direction.

Ok so maybe this is wildly inappropriate but my pet theory is that schizophrenia is basically like your brain is getting interference from parallel universes. So like what you're seeing and hearing isn't real, here, but is maybe real somewhere else. Like in the subtle knife/dark materials novels. So maybe that's a helpful mental model. Like all your senses are screaming that the input you're getting is real, but also it's an entire universe away. It can't get you here. You can see it and feel it but it's not going to touch you if that makes sense... I've experienced some pretty odd neural states that sort of go in that direction as well, thankfully transient and non-recurring, but the secret for me for the unpleasantness was mostly to try to ground out and like ride out the fucked up parts, keeping my sort of core personality calm and being resigned to the chaos but also determined to outlast it. Idk the universe is a fucked up place so like kudos for maintaining what is likely a particularly fucked up version of it. Hopefully there's some peace in it occasionally.
