Anyway I used to love Last Podcast on The Left, but they've lost the sauce. I enjoyed them for the fact they seemed to do a lot of research, but aloof treatment of the subject matter (making "gold star episodes" for especially gory stuff 🤮) and also, somehow, wanting to do the "scary and serious" type voice... It's shit.

I'd love some recommendations for True Crime podcasts that:

• Treat the victims with respect.
• Don't give the perpetrators mythological gravitas
• Do deep research
• Are entertaining
• Aren't trying to make me believe the world is out to get me so Ill buy their home alarm system.

By entertainment I don't mean funny. I just mean it provides you with whatever it is you expect to get out of listening to a good podcast.

I'm wondering if anyone out there plays games the same way I do. Most people approach the hobby normally like play a few games on rotation with friends or to pass the time. What I do is play hundreds of games to completion then for some reason memorise each and every one, learn about all the differences between the ports, the game engine tech it runs on, all the bugs and speed running strats and index it in my head for instant recall.

Why I'm like this I do not know, something to do with making soul reaver my personality when I was a kid which was funny cos nobody knew wtf i was talking about cos other kids were playing gta and lego games.

I just read that there's been some conflicts on the Colombia-Venezuela border between the ELN and a faction of the FARC who didn't disarm after 2016 peace agreements and that it's been displacing a bunch of people. But I don't really get the conflict between the two groups since they seem ideologically similar and are both currently in conflict with the Colombian state.

Also I've heard positive-to-mixed things about the current Colombian head of state, Gustavo Petro, on various lefty forums (including this one).

I recently saw this on the news and they mentioned that it was online "propaganda" and recruiters radicalizing youth to attack Jews in Australia. The accompanying images had swastikas and other poorly spray painted drivel. Are these overblown or is it a combination of geniune anti-Semitism and Mossad doing false flags? And the tone of it on the news made it seem like they were trying to imply Muslims and pro-Palestine people doing it. Australian hexbears, can y'all help us understand what's going on to filter the usual bs from mainstream press?
