If you want a bit of a laugh I saw this on xhs: What is the strongest military US, China, Russia? (many chinese netizens) Clearly South Korea they dared to build a country on top of a US military base
Anything funny you have seen recently?
If you feel the need you can dm me if you'd like! I'm sorry you're having a hard go of it right now. You mentioned paranoia, that sounds really hard. :/ like not too many ways to engage in "reality testing" (not a fan of that phrase but you probably know what I mean)
whats the most fun thing youve ever done
I would probably say playing Rugby when I was younger- just a really fun sport to me.
Recently ? I played a pc game called Balatro its a poker inspired roguelike pretty fun
Balatro is a banger! In a similar vein, Luck Be A Landlord is a faux slot machine roguelike (lite?) that I discovered around the same time and it’s also a banger!
Hope you're doing okay, my cousin lives with schizophrenia and he has had some bad stuff go down in the past because. It's good you're aware your symptoms might be worsening/having an "episode".
I've had auditory hallucinations in the past, but I think those were more related to trauma and being in an adjacent situation. I acted out on them and when everyone else was like "wtf are you talking about, nobody was shouting", so I hope I can relate in some way.
Hallucinations suck. I used to get up and stare at the place one was coming from until my brain accepted it wasn't real.
Thankfully mine mostly went away with better sleep and a hard line anti-supernatural worldview.
It's good that you have a doctor lined up! You just need to make it a few extra days to get there. Make sure to get plenty of sleep and take care of yourself (healthy food, exercise, get some air) in the meantime. You don't need to do this on hard mode.
Always remember, things that aren't real aren't real.
I'm here if you wanna vent.
Shit's gonna be okay eventually friend. Maybe today isn't going well, but maybe tomorrow will. Whatever happens just stay here so you can find out about tomorrow.
If I can ask what interventions have you tried in the past? I know it is linked to brain desync issues and possibly visual stuff. Are there any particular changes in your life that have occurred with this flare up
I spent time in closed facilities when things got really fucking bad. I would like to avoid that in the future....which is why im extra careful. Like Im gonna leave work early today and head straight to bed and probably sleep like 10h
I'm sorry that's happening. The beginning of this year hasn't been great for many people lol. How's life? Got any 2025 resolutions?
Get my shit together. Keep working out. I want to try and get into a relationship again. Also I want to reach a decent level at cooking.
What's your current level of cooking like? I bloody love it for getting out of my head (anxiety here, nothing quite as a severe as what you're experiencing...).
Always happy to discuss food. Full disclosure I'm vegetarian and am cursed when it comes to baking potatoes, so I may not be a great person to get advice from.
Working out more is a big goal for me this year, too. At first it was just for my health and to look good for my upcoming wedding, but now it's also because I'm worried about the fascists coming into office here in the US 😬. Not to bring up more anxiety-causing things lol.
Also feeling the cooking thing. I've been watching all these cooking and baking shows to calm me down and relax me between all the depressing news and stuff, which makes me want to try it. It's just spending the time and energy to find recipes or cook them after coming home that's annoying.
