It's really enjoyable too. I swear they must have gone to version 1.0 just to get more money from idiots like me who thought 1.0 meant it was finished, if not bug free.

Shit, I bought Coral Island and dumped a bunch of hours in it only to find out the main quest won't be finished until next year. Fucking piece of shit devs.

Are they going to play online with friends? If so find out what the kids they want to play with have. Sony are dicks and don't allow crossplay so if their friends have Xbox and you get a PS5 they won't be able to play together (and vice versa). If that doesn't matter then yeah, like others have said an Xbox with gamepass is hard to beat for children.
Death Standing. Just wandering around delivering packages is so relaxing and fun for me.
