UK opposition party Labour has pledged to eliminate fox hunting “within its first term” in power.

Currently, hunting with dogs is illegal in the UK. However, the practice continues under the cover of “trail hunting,” where hounds follow a pre-laid scent.

Reports have shown how, despite the ban, illegal fox hunting continues to have devastating impacts across the UK.

Last year, Scotland introduced new legislation to crack down on illegal fox hunting.

Toff fuckwit tradition. Ban it.

Also please fix the economy, re-enter Europe and find out what dark money paid for the Brexit campaign and who profited from it. Then execute them.

Tony Blair had the chance to do it but backed down. If he'd done it properly in the first place it would have been consigned to history by now. Along with bear baiting and children going up chimneys. There is absolutely no excuse for hunting in the 21st century. Then again we shouldn't have food banks in the 21st century either.

In the UK. No human hunts for needed food. Just sport or culling.

But in the 21st century. There are definatly places where it is still a better less cruel and environmentally damaging, option then mass farming and trasportation of goods.

Culling u Is also sometimes practically necessary. Due to human enviromental changes/damage.

There are times when mankind has to take responsibility for its own harm. And prevent prey etc animals from being wiped out. Due to our effect on preditor species.

Hunting isn't about culling, fox hunting is about chasing down an animal with a pack of hounds for the pleasure of a bunch of bloodthirsty rich people. Culling is necessary but it should be done by professionals in a humane manor.

Fine and normal - but I hope they are also planning more foundational policies to address the cost of living crisis.

Good for them.
There are also beautiful artificial trophies.

People who feel strongly about this, one way or the other, are a tiny minority of the electorate - like the Private School thing. You and I may casually agree or disagree with the policies - but we’re not likely to march on Parliament over either of them.

These headline grabbers are designed to show some kind of difference between Labour and the Tories - when in all reality there will be very little.

All of Labours distinguishing polices, where there were any, have been scrapped and pared back, to win over big business and media support in the general election.

It’s very transparent.

Here are just some of the pledges that Starmer made with the last 2 - 3 years . They’ve all gone.

Can you abstain from voting for your own legislation?
