In 2022/2023, England's water firms made a staggering £1.7bn in pre-tax profits. This fine is just chump change for them and doesn’t fix anything.

The whole point of bringing out a new generation of hardware is to make it work in much better ways of operation than the last one. By default it is not going to run the older generation of games because it doesn’t work in the same way. Now they could spend a lot of effort in making it able to play the old games and work in the old way, but what is their incentive to do that, compared say in starting work on the next generation or releasing the console earlier?

No one secured the ladder or the roof or responded to alerts of a gunman on the roof. There’s only two angles where you could shoot the ear without it entering the head, must be a million to one shot… but the real question to ask is…. a teenage boy looking at porn?… that is crazy!

I said this to my uncle once “me and my dad bought stuff at auction then probably spent more fixing it up than it was worth”. He said “but it helped you didn’t it?”, yeah it definitely did. Fixing stuff definitely helps the soul, if it helps you, do it and don’t worry about the cost.

When you have literally created something out of a horror movie it’s time to stop and reassess your choices.

Despite Labour dropping their 28bn green investment pledge

Maybe Harper was keener to keep his seat than his green pledge?

It’s another attack on families on the margins of society. I am sure Kier will abstain from doing anything.

The party may have a 30-point lead in the polls, but its lack of real offering to voters will soon cause problems - Paul Rogers

Recently drove in Scotland where built up areas generally have 20mph speed limits. I found It made little difference in overall journey time Felt safer, stopping distance much reduced Easier to join the traffic Similar speed as cyclists Felt safer and more relaxed as a pedestrian, easier to cross the road
