The politician from Ohio is so concerned about making sure people have children. Normal people might remember Ohio as the state that rejoiced over the miracle of a pregnant 11-year-old.

Kamala could gain points with normal people (including surrounding swing states) just by mercilessly dunking on Ohio until November.

[–] EmmaGoldman@hexbear.net 55 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Making your entire campaign about shitting on your opponent for being from Ohio will always result in a 49-state victory, with the opponent pulling a Mondale Special

[–] CthulhusIntern@hexbear.net 25 points 3 months ago

And of course, the one state the opponent wins is NOT Ohio.

[–] roux@hexbear.net 43 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Ohio doesn't make bright people. I got family there. I'm probably among the smartest in my family and that isn't saying much. I have a cousin in Ohio that is in a union and argued with me one time that unions aren't socialist because he pays dues. That was his reasoning. Not a single wrinkle is that man's brain.

Capitalism is when workers pool their resources to bargain with their bosses collectively

as a thot leader in the childless cat lady community, I officially endorse Kamala Harris.

[–] Frank@hexbear.net 66 points 3 months ago

Okay, yeah, shit. I forgot what absolute goddamn freaks they were.

[–] Mokey@hexbear.net 53 points 3 months ago (2 children)

JD vance is pathetic, zero dignity. A little worm person. A weed that goes wherever theres something to leech off of.

You have genuinely failed at life if you choose the path he did

[–] FourteenEyes@hexbear.net 33 points 3 months ago

He's the type of person where everyone just immediately accepted the phony rumor about fucking a couch in his book. He looks and sounds like the kind of person who would do that and write about it

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 19 points 3 months ago

Of course he is, he was a NeVeR TrUmP conservative when that was beneficial to him in 2016, now he's predictably turned his grift around.

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 42 points 3 months ago (1 children)

These are the very same people that obsessed over Taylor Swift not having kids and wanted her eggs to produce Aryan supermen and yet Kamala is still going to lose against them. The dems run amazing candidates that everyone universally loves!

[–] HarryLime@hexbear.net 63 points 3 months ago (15 children)

yet Kamala is still going to lose against them.

Honestly, I really don't know about that. I feel like I'm in the minority on this website on this, but I think she has a strong chance.

[–] MarxMadness@lemmygrad.ml 56 points 3 months ago (1 children)

She definitely has a real chance. Biden’s biggest weaknesses were his age and his record. Harris isn't old (especially compared to Trump), can more easily back off Biden’s least-popular positions, and it's harder to blame her for not accomplishing as much as the guy ostensibly running the show.

Trump is also not some electoral juggernaut; he's basically a walking gaffe/outrage machine with an endless supply of skeletons in his closet.

[–] MemesAreTheory@hexbear.net 31 points 3 months ago

you mean CONVICTED FELON Donald Drumpf ruthkanda-forever

[–] TheLepidopterists@hexbear.net 36 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I agree. She's a complete piece of shit, but she's not a sundowning Silent Generation segregationist. If she plays her cards right and the Republicans keep saying weird shit like this fence sitters might be driven to vote for her.

I think it's at least 50/50, but I also think the lathe has been emitting unholy smoke and fire and i have no fucking idea what is even possible anymore.

[–] knightly@hexbear.net 29 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Biden dropping out was the Dark Horse everyone was hoping for, and now for the first time since 2015 I can't even guess who's going to be president next year. How exciting!

I remember in 2020 this site was convinced that Trump would beat Biden. This website assumes the worst at times.

[–] FourteenEyes@hexbear.net 21 points 3 months ago (3 children)

It was an incredibly close election and literally everyone was wrong about which way which demographics would vote

Indeed, everyone is born with a force field around them that completely insulates them from any political or economic adversity but that force field is destroyed by the act of having children

[–] ObamaSama@hexbear.net 18 points 3 months ago

Their worldview is based on the idea that someday, somehow, we’ll figure things out. How? We don’t know yet so the only thing to do now is to continue to propagate and empower future generations so that maybe they can eventually figure it out. Their sole reason for existence is to be a link, either through direct genealogy or action, in the chain of humanity that eventually coalesces to create the ubermensch that somehow wills forth an ultimate “purpose” from the ether to retroactively validate all the actions that led to its existence.

Naturally, reproduction is a vital part of this process of forcibly propelling humanity forward through time and social/biological evolution. Anyone that does not participate in the traditional bourgeoisie family unit is actively at odds with their conception of the “human project” and thus should not have any participation in steering it. There’s a simple reason that drives homophobia/transphobia from these types, their very existence questions the validity of the “purpose” of reproduction and iteration. At best, they’re seen as an aberration to be ignored and disenfranchised; at worst, an affront to the very purpose of being that must be culled in order for the cycle to continue unimpeded. Childless cis women are chided for not participating in the project but are met with fare less ire due to their potential to do so as well as a begrudging societal acknowledgement of biological realities that preclude some women from reproducing

I just saw some parts of Vance talking. The crowd was dead. A lady behind him was falling asleep. If anything, he's going to blow Trump's election. When someone "charismatic" like Trump says something insane, the crowd can twist whatever real thoughts they had to join in on being with him.

Vance? Watching a wet garbage bag say the dumbest thing ever might honestly be the only concrete hope the Dems have. If I were Kamala and co I'd let him yap as much as possible and then replay his most boring crappy comments over and over.

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 45 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Pence was the same way. Imo Trump's VP basically doesn't matter for the election, Trump supporters are voting for Trump, full stop. Like, Trump could probably have ran with Epstein in 2016 and still won.

[–] TheVelvetGentleman@hexbear.net 19 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Probably with a wider margin, let's be real.

jd vance only wants people to have children because he is a bad Terminator and wants more skulls to step on ominously after SkyNet launches the nukes

[–] Deadend@hexbear.net 37 points 3 months ago (8 children)

I think Harris is a shitlib, but these freaks are attacking her on the worst stuff.

Give her a competent team and if this “no kids” shit sticks.. she can turn that into a strength of “I had to choose between career and family, which is a major problem today- as president I will push for laws and rulings so that we can have it all.”

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 24 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I'm shocked they haven't gone after her for calling Biden a segregationist on national TV and then becoming his VP anyway, but I guess they themselves are also naked hypocrites who care about nothing but power so it might not reflect well on them.

Reactionaries will always attack liberals for the wrong reasons. If they were pointing to the right reasons they probably wouldn't be reactionaries.

They had a good thing going during the 2016 period when Trump’s snark and anti-pc attitude won people over during the peak of anti-sjw.

But now they’ve gone back to letting the Fox News brainworms settle in.

[–] GVAGUY3@hexbear.net 36 points 3 months ago

Hillary was also that bad of a candidate

[–] gay_king_prince_charles@hexbear.net 34 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Does anyone want to win? This looks like a race to the bottom.

Harris is turning out to be one of the funniest developments of this campaign so far.

She's almost the perfect combination of cringe and fashy, nothing they've said about her so far has been particularly compelling.

In an election where all she has to do is take body blows and not be Trump.... Idk I think it might actually work.

Politics as sexual pathology

[–] Parsani@hexbear.net 21 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Vance is way more unhinged that I thought (and tbh I had little idea who he was before this). I can't imagine he would make any undecided voters more comfortable with trump unless they have full blown woke derangement syndrome and thought Trump simply didn't hate women enough.

[–] Chronicon@hexbear.net 20 points 3 months ago

yeah, this type of attack will resonate with some freaks for sure but I don't think its net positive, probably

[–] GlueBear@hexbear.net 20 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (4 children)

Extremely funny timeline if she wins. I hope she does bc I want to see chuds lose themselves wayne-jammin
