nsfwi can't think of any word i find more viscerally repulsive and unsexy than when people say "gock"

it sounds like someone retching

[โ€“] Tomboymoder@hexbear.net 12 points 4 months ago (1 children)

it's the sound you make when you suck it.

[โ€“] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 10 points 4 months ago

Gawk ๐Ÿค”

[โ€“] Seryph@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Agreed tbh, although ::: spoiler nsfw For me it's not the sound so much as not being comfortable with it, it feels almost fetishistic with how often certain spaces will just openly use the term all the time for any non-op transfemme. Although I haven't seen that much here so I don't mind it as much as I used to.

waowMy dumb ass sitting on trans tumblr, staring at the avalanche of horny posts and wondering where the line is for things qualifying as fetishistic.....

[โ€“] Seryph@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

spoilerI don't know if there is a particular line that I can point to really. It's always dependent on the context. Like, is it a cis person saying it? That's more likely to be objectifying. But trans people can still objectify their own or other trans bodies sometimes.

The way I tend to treat it though is the same way I tend to with how women are objectified. So hornyposting isn't always fetishistic, but it often is since a lot of it reduces people down to just their parts. And imo gock is pretty commonly used in that way.

But trans people can still objectify their own

Is there trouble with this one? I figured consensually objectifying yourself if you wanna is cool and good? But for the other ones I see ur point. I really hope cis people are not learning this word...

This is good knowledge thenk u nia-peace

spoilerOnce again depends on the context. There's ways you can objectify yourself that are harmful towards others or unhealthy and ways you can do it which aren't those things and are cool and good. Like, bodily shame is in part a form of self objectification in some circumstances, like after internalising misogyny for instance, you begin to treat your body like it's just something to be appraised or exchanged and care more about its value than you yourself and your needs. Essentially self-objectification is the internalisation of objectification and it can exhibit all the issues of objectification, including accidental promotion of bog standard objectification when it is externalised. But there can be cases of utilising one's body for empowerment purposes which are cool and good, and there can be cases of kinks that revolve around self-objectification which can be cool if done safely.

Also chasers have been using this word forever idk what to tell you.

Huh, I guess so now I think about it...

bocchi-party SAFE SANE CONSENSUAL LFG

Also it disappoints me but does not shock me, chasers ruin fucking everything I swear to god how-compelling

This concept really hit hard for me, for a lot of reasons. I need to think about all the ways I do stuff like this and learn how to stop. I have been doing a lot of things for approval for a long time. Thank you.

And yea the definitely do.

hmmmSounds like gollum speak, but to each their own

I wouldn't say it personally

[โ€“] LocalOaf@hexbear.net 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

That one's really unappealing but

spoilerI think "hen" is kinda cute chicken-bop

[โ€“] Eco@hexbear.net 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

to each their own, i'm still not a fan tbh

[โ€“] LocalOaf@hexbear.net 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Completely understandable, a lot of the cutesy/fetishy slang stuff feels like it's coming from chasers instead of trans femmes themselves, so the whole thing is kinda bleh

[โ€“] ashinadash@hexbear.net 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I worry about this a lot, like some of them I think are kinda fun but I wonder tbh. Especially because so many of them just use variations of male-typical terms for genitalia, or have implications of insertion, blegh.

overly personalI think 'clit' is the only one for me so far because it's not that, it's a very literal indication that this is not the same thing and does not function that way. I think it's neat.

[โ€“] naom3@hexbear.net 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

spoilerNot only that, but it really is just a large clit with a urethra running through it power-genius

[โ€“] ashinadash@hexbear.net 3 points 4 months ago

spoilerTruer words never spoken, fuckin awesome tbh power-genius

extensive discussion of Swedish words for the feminine penisI learned today that Swedish has at least 6 different words for girldick, so you can just go and call it Flickpinne or Tjejslicking instead.

The way this works is that Swedish has two words for girl, either Tjej which is more neutral in tone or Flick, which is more cutesy and endearing. To these, you can attach nouns as suffixes, either -pitt (stinger), -pinne (stick) or -slicking (which is the verb "slicka" for eating candy, but turned into a noun, a neologism which exists exclusively in this context, which has made Tjejslicking and Flickslicking official Swedish dictionary entries).
