Libs can't get enough of the circus in bread and circuses. It's pretty pathetic.

George W Bush ketchup

I was pretty sure you were joking but I googled anyway. - https://hexbear.net/post/3489913

Ketchup bottle, George W. Bush, 2004 | Smithsonian Institution

Description

The 2004 presidential race was between the Republican incumbent President George W. Bush and his Democratic challenger John Kerry, senator from Massachusetts. Because Kerry’s wife, Teresa Heinz, was related to the Heinz family who founded a food processing company, a group of New York City Republicans started their own ketchup company to avoid eating Heinz ketchup.

Using a label picturing George Washington, W Ketchup was introduced in 2004 with the advertising slogan “You don’t support Democrats. Why should your Ketchup?” (Teresa Heinz was not a majority stakeholder in the Heinz Company.) The product was distributed through internet sales and no proceeds were contributed to political campaigns. The W Ketchup company ceased production in 2015.

Your post reminded me that I entirely forgot Bluesky. This is from 7 days ago.

God bless Penzeys, my home sweet home, etc. From today's email:

"it seems I am now an N word lover and a C word sucker. Plus they do like the other C word as well...There’s power in words. We are running half off all spices and seasonings that begin with the letters N and C to take back that power."

My bangers:

  3. couchfucking joke
  4. recommending Penzeys
  5. pro-Tim Walz post

I'm stealing that.

Edit. My mind was (still is?) elsewhere. I don't know why I put that quote in a spoiler tag.

Once inside, Harris hugged and comforted a crying customer, telling the older woman that, “We’re going to be fine. We’re all in this together.”

Harris’ X/Twitter account then posted, “I look forward to using my new seasonings from Penzeys Spices in Pittsburgh at our next Sunday family dinner.”

After that, conservative Fox News dug up Penzeys’ left-leaning history and right-wing influencer Laura Loomer began howling about boycotts. Fox News called Penzeys the “meanest spice business in America,” while Trump derided its “Terrible Over-Priced Product.”

Full textA spice company has drawn the ire of former President Donald Trump and right-wing media after Vice President Kamala Harris visited its Pittsburgh store and the owner’s progressive politics became online fodder.

Penzeys Spices founder Bill Penzey, however, is taking the backlash in stride, telling his hometown Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that his company lost almost 3,200 email subscribers following Harris’ visit but gained over 7,700.

“So far, so good,” he told the newspaper.

Dialing its response up a notch, the Penzeys Facebook page offered a discount on gift cards and orange-colored spices and seasonings last weekend.

“D. Trump and Fox want to drive us out of business. $50 Gift Cards for $35 help stop them,” Penzeys wrote on Friday. “Donald Trump and the right wing media are trying to drive us out of business because last weekend we welcomed Kamala Harris into our Pittsburgh store where she hugged one of our customers. Please send us your money : )”

The saga started Sept. 8 when Harris was welcomed by a cheering crowd at the Penzeys store in Pittsburgh’s Strip District while she was in town preparing for the Sept. 10 debate against Trump. The company also has a store in Philadelphia.

The Journal Sentinel reported that reviewer Yelp froze posting on the company’s page from an onslaught of fake negative reviews.

This isn’t anything new for Trump and his most fervent supporters. As NBC News reported earlier this year, Trump followers have threatened judges, jurors and prosecutors involved in his many criminal cases after he has lashed out at them online.

Penzeys responded to the backlash and threats in its Facebook post, telling customers they would stand its ground against Trump supporters but needed help.

Angela Davis says that Barack Obama is a man who identifies with the Black radical tradition.

In alternate universe that was an Onion headline.

If a homeless person dies on the street from exposure in winter - CNN would not call that a tragedy. In fact if that happened to 3 or 4 people in the same city on the same day - CNN still wouldn't call it a tragedy. Why? Such things happen and CNN and the MSM in general ignore it. The public doesn't even learn the names of the dead.

But some obscenely rich idiots go down to oppressive ocean depths in a badly tested tin can and the MSM says it's a tragedy. Why? Ocean pressure is not the reason.

I know it's now an old saw but it's amazing how bad google and youtube can be. I just learned the term translight and I wanted a short video example yet I couldn't find one that didn't involve marketing. There must be some such results at youtube but if google's search algos are shit - google and youtube will never give show them to me.

Translight

A Translight or Translite is a large illuminated film backing typically used as a backdrop in the film and TV industry. The name of Translite originally came from the black-and-white display film made by the Eastman Kodak Company. Pacific Studios in Los Angeles was the sole producer of Translites from about 1950 until about 1979. Technicians there projected images in a darkroom onto the film in strips, which were then removed and processed by hand in tanks by the darkroom crew.

The strips were seamed with tape; then oil paint was applied to the assembled picture for a tinted color effect. The name gradually was applied to any transparency lit from behind and used as a background picture for feature films or television production. Full-color printing of a Translight was first used on the motion picture One from the Heart.

He's editor-in-chief of the intellectual chud magazine the National Review. I edited this...

In the clip, which began trending across social media on Monday, Lowry said, “They’ve only found two Springfield residents calling to complain about Haitian [ni—] taking geese from ponds.” [A] number of users on social media are saying that, before he corrected himself, it sounded like Lowry used the N-word instead of “migrants.”

He clearly used the first half of the n-word. There's no doubt. Video clip - https://xcancel.com/peltzmadeline/status/1835743619971535137
