You can talk about the most complex topics with people as long as you know how to explain them in an easily digestible form. If you look at the titles of many scientific studies they will have long and convoluted titles that sound impressive, but in actuality could be refined into something much shorter and easier to understand.

It doesn't matter what you're writing, using plain language doesn't mean you're dumbing it down. It makes it easier to read and understand what you're trying to say. You can take corporate jargon as the opposite of this. It can be vague, different people will have different definitions of certain words.

Simplified writing is good writing.

It's 120v DC into an led light designed for 120v a/c there's no difference other than no flickering.

Great, go do the brakes with standard tools, oh wait, you have to use a special "triple square" tool instead of having a standard hex bolt like every other car. And on and on with the bullshit.

Technically some houses can be moved or stilted, but they need a place to move them to. The government subsidizes flood insurance and they'll keep paying over and over again instead of just making people move somewhere else.

I guess I don't really pay attention to actors and actresses names and just recognize them from something else I've seen. I don't think I've seen those two things after parks and rec

I've no idea who these people are and never heard of those films.

I wound up cannibalizing a bridge rectifier from some old electronics and making an a/c to d/c adapter so I could do close up photography. I labeled it "lights only! 120v d/c" but I'm also the only person with access to it.

Because he was hit with it hard enough to make the mark, but his eye socket didn't allow it to hit him all the way so only part of it left a mark.

Asians are cool

I did brakes recently, decided to buy new rotors and pads, realize that the slide pins are seized and the little boots are torn on one side and that caliper is probably toast, get everything put back together and it's working for now. Try to bleed the brakes since the fluid looks like mud and the car has "speed bleeders" with check valves in them instead of little holes. The check valves are also seized because someone left the little rubber caps off so no fluid comes out until the bleeder screw is completely removed. I just let them gravity bleed for a minute and put them back in. I bought new bleeders so I can replace the fluid, probably should have just ordered calipers at this point.

We recently purchased a new (to us) family car and I've been addressing some of the neglected maintenance items. The low beam headlights were extremely dim, yet the high beams were very bright. Incandescent bulbs become dimmer over time. I purchased some which were recommended by the forum for my specific vehicle for only $15 on the rain forest site. They are quite a bit brighter now and I feel much safer driving at night.
