Nice burn:

  • "Donald Trump is facing 91 felony charges. If Republicans want to name something after him, I'd suggest they find a federal prison," said Rep. Gerry Connolly, a Democrat who represents part of Dulles.
[–] FiniteBanjo@lemmy.today 4 points 5 months ago

He beat me to the joke.

[–] empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com 63 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Damn they will literally find every single thing to do that's not their actual jobs, huh?

[–] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 18 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Until it's time to cut taxes for the rich or attack minority groups

[–] Jackhammer_Joe@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

That IS there job - apparently

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Renaming things like airports and post offices actually is part of their job. It's the one part they actually are doing.

Shouldn't he have to die first? Naming places after living people is a terrible idea, what happens if he gets charged with rape/fraud/assault/tax evasion/election manipulation? We might think less of him...

[–] RGB3x3@lemmy.world 33 points 5 months ago

We might think less of him...

I don't see how that could be possible.

Naming places after anyone is usually a bad idea. You find out about skeletons in their closet later and the place just has to be renamed.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 11 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Trump's skeletons are on his porch.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 months ago

Next to Ivana's

[–] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 8 points 5 months ago

Looking at you every city named after Columbus

[–] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

We should name places after fictional people. I'd send my kid to the Anakin Skywalker Youth Center.

[–] Carvex@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Not the younglings!

[–] John_McMurray@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

It's already named after someone, with plenty of skeletons, Allen Dulles.

[–] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 11 points 5 months ago (1 children)

George Bush International was named after President Bush during his lifetime; Harry Reid International was renamed while the former senator was still alive. It isn't that much of a stretch to name an airport after Trump while that piece of shit is still alive.

However, I would think that Palm Beach would be a better airport to get his name due to Mar-a-Lago.

[–] ccunning@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

Not to mention Washington National Airport in DC also being renamed Ronald Reagan National Airport 6 years before he died.

[–] Carrick1973@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

He'll have even stronger support from his base

[–] dugmeup@lemmy.world 36 points 5 months ago

Lol Trump charges $$ for his brand. Another shameful GOP grift

[–] RattlerSix@lemmy.world 29 points 5 months ago (4 children)

I vote we name the bathrooms after him

[–] Evilcoleslaw@lemmy.world 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

The Donald J. Trump Memorial Unisex Bathrooms

[–] RattlerSix@lemmy.world 12 points 5 months ago

That's what we'll name his gravesite

[–] elbarto777@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

I don't know you, but I already named my toilets after him.

[–] babypigeon@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

Or the security levels of the documents found atr Mar-A-Lardo. You can only enter if you're privy at the required level. Haha, jk, anyone can play!

Let's start with TOP SECRET Restroom, Confidential Relief Room, and SCI Station (for those nuclear shits). Suggestions are welcome.

[–] ccunning@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Don’s Johns

[–] thinkyfish@lemmy.world 23 points 5 months ago (1 children)

should let them do it in exchange for renaming Reagan national to Obama national airport.

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 18 points 5 months ago

Only if the sign reads Barack HUSSEIN Obama National Airport.

[–] Davel23@fedia.io 21 points 5 months ago (1 children)

"Seditionist Treason Airport" has a certain ring to it.

[–] Diplomjodler@feddit.de 14 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I suggest Insane Clown International

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That’s offensive to magnets.

[–] babypigeon@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago
[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 21 points 5 months ago

House Republicans push to rename Dulles airport after Trump

"Insurrectionist International Airport" is a silly name. Why are they suggesting we name it that?

[–] DrSleepless@lemmy.world 13 points 5 months ago

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit

[–] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 11 points 5 months ago

Servile traitor filth.

[–] bradorsomething@ttrpg.network 7 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Only if we change the airport code to DEI

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 5 points 5 months ago
[–] Semi-Hemi-Demigod@kbin.social 7 points 5 months ago

So will IAD stand for "Ignorant Asshole Donald?"

[–] strawberrysocial@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago
[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

They should already name airports after shitty people as punishment.
