I’m so glad someone is finally calling out the anti-venasaur bias that is rampant on this website

It's disgusting and im sick of it 😤

They are female coded compared to Charizard and Blastoise so of course patriarchal society hates her.

huh

Venusaur is an absolute unit. Charizard is probably the most female coded

There is more than size going on. Plants are feminine, poison is the weapon of women, Venus is feminine. Her size reads very pre-historic earth mother goddess if you ask me.

A budding flower is very feminine symbolism, which is the bulb-Venusaur through line and theme. Venus and Ivy are also feminine names.

“Charizard” is a very masculine name in comparison

Who thinks Venusaur isn't cute. What's not to love about a weird lump with a whole ass flower garden on its back? Actual clown world if anyone thinks Venusaur isn't cute. Or Bulbasaur. Or Ivysaur

Queer icon. A frog with their own little succulent garden? Slay

My first holo of the main three! I was so excited, made me love Venusaur!

Blastoise was my favorite as a boy, but Venusaur is my favorite as a a man. Competitive Gen 3 OU on pokemon showdown has certainly clarified who is powerful and who is not (Venusaur > Charizard > Blastoise in competitive play)

Bulbasaur has always been the best starter. Gimme a big dino boy.

[–] alexandra_kollontai@hexbear.net 3 points 9 months ago

It's okay, I think Ivysaur is cuter.

What's hexbear's opinion on mega Venusaur? Comment down below ~~and don't forget to like and subscribe~~

All megavolutions are creatively bankrupt. When playing newer games I always stubbornly refuse to use the single-generation gimmick.

Megas are epic and added a lot to battles and I wish my beloved mega Slowbro wasn't stuck in ORAS. Dynamaxing and terrastalization are busted af though. Z moves are ok

[–] TheDialectic@hexbear.net 5 points 9 months ago

The design in both too busy and not busy enough

[–] Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

Not a fan tbh. They just stuck a flower on its head, and they made him too flat imo.

Like comment and subslime

I like the flower but think the design is too similar besides that. Its ingame model looks dopey too, but it's better than mega Blastoise.

My first starter and always in my heart.
