The worst after warm Beer

A friend who works in advertising tried to tell me people only like ice cold drinks today because of some ad campaign created in like 1930. I guess she never heard about the ancient Romans having ice hauled in from Switzerland.

In the scolding hot summer, I only like ice in my beverage because of an campaign in the 30s, not because it makes the drink colder and feels more refreshing.

Rome was once covered in ice.

Soak rice overnight. Add riceand water, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, sugar, to blender . Blend. Strain. Serve over ice, or not.

They have powder at the supermarket that is delicious.

I'll have to look for that. Probably not at our regular market but there is a south American specialty store across the street that I have neglected.

Here in Florid they have at Publix. It is, of course, Florida.

It's a sweet, frothy, milk-like drink popular in Hispanic and Latin culture.

@Hadriscus @driving_crooner its crushed nuts milk, kinda like almond milk, but with "chufas", a tubercule that is said to look like testicles

This is the one I know but apparently there's other forms of horchata (not de chufa) from south america. At least wikipedia says so

A drink that tastes like melted churro ice cream.

I’m with you on that. Not a fan of ice diluting my beverage unless it’s water.

I even have an ice cube tray reserved for leftover coffee, so when I make iced coffee it doesn’t dilute.

I make all my ice cubes with vodka.

Can't even hear her talking with the song but there's a good basic idea here. Rice milk (or even cooked and mashed rice), coconut milk, also oat milk (?), maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, heated up. Real winter drink.

Why is she trying to talk over the music?
