- Even with Yemen, the United States started. The yemeni rebels fought against an oppressive government, and the United States had to intervene in the interest of Saudi for many years before the yemenis ever responded. So your example does not disprove the claim.
Highly doubt that Syrian army were interested in opening a front with the strongest military in the world, when they're getting pounded by Al-Qaeda on the other side of the country.
Weird question, but what does GnuCash do that you wouldn't get easily from excel? I haven't used any of these apps and wondering what I'm missing out on.

They didn't reduce the entire war to that, and Syrian history says Israel is heavily involved in Syrian affairs and for many years bombs syria at least once a month, sometimes several times week.

To be fair this is Russia's fault primarily. They signed the deal with Turkey which effectively left idlib in the hands of rebels. Assad was against this, but Russia forced the deal snd refused to support Syria in an idlib offensive, just so they can improve relations with Turkey.
