Put together an English sentence....

My God, these people really do have a pocket reality they exist in.

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 70 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

He's just implying that Harris speaks a different language, because she's not white. That's as deep as it goes.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 32 points 2 weeks ago

He's also trying to "both sides" Trump's senility, despite the fact that Harris isn't Biden.

[–] ByteOnBikes@slrpnk.net 31 points 2 weeks ago

Projection is strong

[–] jetliswar@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago

I think its the worm talking.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 79 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

They're so close to just going on TV and saying the N-word.

[–] xantoxis@lemmy.world 30 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Unsubtle racism aside, does he think nobody has ever heard Trump speak?

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 18 points 2 weeks ago

I wonder if he knows what he, himself, sounds like.

What a lazy critique. "Look how dumb she sounds", meanwhile Harris sounds like an educated normal woman. Like what even is this?

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 68 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Dog whistling. Its not about actually wanting the candidate who elocutes the most effectively, its about telling their core audience "yeah we don't think black people are capable of intelligence either, just like you"

[–] BakerBagel@midwest.social 23 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Like people saying they wished Obama was "more articulate" 15 years ago. It's nothing but racist sog whistles

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Mostly people called Obama very articulate. That wasn't so much a dogwhistle as the bigotry of lowered expectations.

[–] anytimesoon 8 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

But he was/is very articulate?

Don't forget his presidency came off the back of W. We were all sick of hearing gibberish from the president of the united states. Everyone was happy to have an articulate man in charge

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago

And honestly, he is incredibly good at giving speeches. I wish he was half as good as president as he was at inspiring people with his speeches.

Which is why he is backing ... Donald Trump?

[–] TheTechnician27@lemmy.world 38 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you're a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it's true! — but when you're a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that's why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we're a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it's not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it's four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven't figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it's gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.

[–] PixeIOrange@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

This is who millions of people stand behind. We are doomed.

[–] TheTechnician27@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago

tens of millions*

(just wanted to make you feel better)

[–] qjkxbmwvz@startrek.website 6 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

But he said "an English sentence"...not 27 quasi-English sentences and trains of thought put through a Vitamix and a wood chipper...

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 weeks ago

He's recently tried to respond to criticism that he sounds like a demented loon by garbling some nonsense about how he weaves 9 topics together perfectly and English professors with tears in their eyes say he's the bestest boy ever.

Yeah. Sentences like these from Donald:

She destroyed the city of San Francisco, it’s — and I own a big building there — it’s no > — I shouldn’t talk about this but that’s OK I don’t give a damn because this is what > > > I’m doing. I should say it’s the finest city in the world — sell and get the hell out of >there, right? But I can’t do that. I don’t care, you know? I lost billions of dollars, >billions of dollars. You know, somebody said, ‘What do you think you lost?’ I said, >‘Probably two, three billion. That’s OK, I don’t care.’ They say, ‘You think you’d do it >again?’ And that’s the least of it. Nobody. They always say, I don’t know if you know. >Lincoln was horribly treated. Uh, Jefferson was pretty horribly. Andrew Jackson they >say was the worst of all, that he was treated worse than any other president. I said, >‘Do that study again, because I think there’s nobody close to Trump.’ I even got shot! >And who the hell knows where that came from, right?

No bacon = wind power is bad

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Oh man was that a weird as fuck speech even for Trump.

You take a look at bacon and some of these products. Some people don't eat bacon anymore. And we are going to get the energy prices down. When we get energy down — you know, this was caused by their horrible energy — wind, they want wind all over the place. But when it doesn't blow, we have a little problem.

He said that a few days ago. Dementia.

— I shouldn’t talk about this but that’s OK I don’t give a damn because this is what
I’m doing. I should say it’s the finest city in the world — sell and get the hell out of
there, right? But I can’t do that. I don’t care, you know? I lost billions of dollars,
billions of dollars. You know, somebody said, ‘What do you think you lost?’ I said,
‘Probably two, three billion. That’s OK, I don’t care.’ They say, ‘You think you’d do it
again?’ And that’s the least of it. Nobody. They always say, I don’t know if you know.
Lincoln was horribly treated. Uh, Jefferson was pretty horribly. Andrew Jackson they
say was the worst of all, that he was treated worse than any other president. I said,
‘Do that study again, because I think there’s nobody close to Trump.’ I even got shot!
And who the hell knows where that came from, right?

~~Fixed~~Formatted This For You!

[–] 2ncs@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It feels more accurate unformatted

“I am endorsing Trump because we both work for Putin along with Roger Stone, Elon Musk and Paul Manafort and we all are screwed from Kompromat if we don’t do exactly what he tells us to”

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

I doubt the Kompromat is even an active concern for Trump. He just likes dictators and wants to be one.

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It’s a concern for sure. With the exception of Musk, they are all tied to nefarious dealings with Deutsche Bank and Trump has been over the barrel for decades.

[–] RestrictedAccount@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Did you see where Musk got huge funding for the Twitter purchase from Putin allies and the Saudis

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 5 points 2 weeks ago

Yes indeed. He is a proxy for the destruction of democracy.

He also spent the Superbowl in Rupert Murdoch’s suite and the World Cup in a suite with Jared Kushner, the Saudis, Ken Griffin and other nefarious heels.

He had meetings and emails with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell before his death and her incarceration and I believe someone has the goods on him and is pulling his strings— hence his bizarre political and behavioral shift.

[–] Corigan@lemm.ee 27 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Dude looks like every generic villain in anything

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

I'm not going to lie, nobody in Hollywood would cast this guy.

[–] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 19 points 2 weeks ago

Did he just confuse Harris for Trump?

[–] PhlubbaDubba@lemm.ee 18 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

....did this mother fucker just take a shot at her for AAVE?

Does Kamala even primarily speak AAVE? She was raised by her mom from India, she'd have picked up Indian English to start wouldn't she have?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I think you give him too much credit. He just says random shit.

I mean, maybe don't even entertain this outright racism in the first place.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Dude, stop projecting your own competence on these idiots.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That is just the worm talking.

[–] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Don't be shocked by the tone of his voice. He would rather provoke and get his team smoked. This is his weapon of choice. It's gone beyond being a man... He should have walked without rhythm. He'll never learn.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

We also need someone that isn't yellow and spews garbage all the time, euh, "like Harris".

I see a future trend here.

[–] SendMePhotos@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

Well well well how the turn tables...

[–] collapse_already@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 weeks ago

That has to be sarcasm that the right is too dumb to recognize, right? Poe's Law has become a tautology.

"I'm fucking making fun of you." would not be any clearer.

[–] Blackout@fedia.io 7 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah put the actual sound bite up and see if you can understand half the things RFK says. I just want him to rest his voice and go on a private sub to visit the Titanic

[–] wick@lemm.ee 5 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Prune face doesn't perform that well behind a podium himself. Plus he sounds like he's dying of thirst in the Sahara at all times.

Does anyone know what the deal with that is btw? Does he have throat cancer or something?

[–] MeaanBeaan@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

spasmodic dysphonia

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Hes a Kennedy. That family has been cursed for a hundred years

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

did cuomo get his job back?

[–] dhhyfddehhfyy4673@fedia.io 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

No. He's been scraping the bottom of the barrel with abysmal viewer numbers on any platform that will take him; trying to avoid falling completely out of public consciousness after being exposed as a corrupt, lying piece of shit. Probably trying to weasel his way back into a cush corporate media gig again I'd imagine.

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago

sucks to fucking suck
