French police said the German authorities, who had previously refused Abu-Sitta entry to Germany in April, had put a visa ban on him for a year, meaning he was banned from entering any Schengen country.

During the months of October and November 2023 at the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza that has since killed more than 34,000 Palestinians, Abu-Sitta operated from Gaza’s al-Shifa and al-Ahli Baptist hospitals. During his 43 days, he described witnessing a “massacre unfold” in Gaza and the use of white phosphorus munitions, which Israel has denied. He has also provided evidence to Scotland Yard.

“How can Germany issue territorial bans throughout the Schengen area? It’s mind-boggling! This is a new step in the repression of everything to do with Palestine,” said Poncet Monge, who later posted a photograph of Abu-Sitta attending the conference via video.

“We are outraged that he cannot be present among us,” she said.

At my modest scale, I was banned from reddit/worldnews for pointing out that the title of the stickied thread "Iran attacks Israel" was not suited anymore to the events in gaza, and that this thread's very low upvote count was a show that its content was not so consensual.

There are lots of efforts by Likud extremists to reshape the narrative and suppress dissent.

But I'm optimistic that their efforts won't work: the students protests are strong enough, alternative communities like r/internationalnews are developing, so that a more balanced perspective emerges, that doesn't downplay Israeli crimes against humanity.

Here's why yee olde liberalism is a crock. France, being arguably the birth place of liberalism, and also it's perversion - or "modernisation", being the home of "laissez-faire capitalism". A place that would make Ayn Rand shed tears of joy, as Frenchmen set fire to the streets because their "liberal government" keeps fucking with their money.

That whole "freedom of movement" thing gets put on the chopping block - like a lot. Democrats, Republicans, Torries, etc, especially when it goes against geo-political liberal games like the wanton genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gaza. Then it's all "oh noes :( scawwy mozlems." Hey wait a minute, didn't they actually mandate approved clothing for women, effectively banning the burqinie, and then had the balls to call them selves "liberal"? Yes, that's apart of the liberal delusional cult. You don't actually want liberty, but the liberty the move money around in Cayman Island bank accounts - if you have the millions to do so, ofc.

But, theh can't just sweep the bodies of dead children under the rug anymore, because it's becoming quite apparent who the colonisers and wage slavers are - and it's the very same who claim to be pro-liberty, the ones who claim to be for freedom, but who at the end of the day wage more psy-ops and practice more hypocrisy than the vatican state.

Liberalism is better than nationalism, but both are awful, and liberalism is still right-wing. Anyone who fell for the okeydoke needs to take some inventory of their political beliefs - and political reality.
