And just why should I change? I'm not asking anything of anyone other than to be left alone. It's broadly accepted that no one wants to hear their fucking phone ring unless it's something very important. I don't know of a single person in my friend group that doesn't agree on this. Maybe it's you that needs to get with the times.
We haven't even touched on the fact that I can type faster and more clearly than I can speak and read faster than anyone I know can talk. Then there's the paper trail aspect where you can refer back to what was said in a text or email vs. having to also take notes in a written conversation which if there ends up being a conflict about what was said later is now a he said she said situation.
