Are there pet names you just canβt stand?
The term βbabyβ or βbabeβ makes me kind of sick to my stomach.
I think I just associate it with high school and seeing all the couples there constantly call each other that only to break up like a week later.
It just feels very juvenile to me.
I like "dear", but I call everyone that
I don't think so tbh. Anyone calling me anything gender affirming kinda makes me melt though.
I'm mostly fine with any pet name since I just kind of find it sweet regardless, but honey is an exception to that. idk why, but I feel myself rolling my eyes whenever I hear it
Highschool couples, oof I remember the resentment
This one does not even apply to me and maybe I'm a bad person, but "hubby" fuckin irritates me and idk why.
It's evil cousin is wifey and I despise it
i personally don't mind wifey that much
ok sorry never again
Extra challenge find a gender free term of endearment that doesn't make you cringe..
Suddenly remembering that my ex used to call me "cupcake" and "muffin" instantly ruining those terms for me
Oh no I guess I won't be calling you wifey then
Fuckin right, I'm already married and using it for my wife like an evil criminal
lmao the dictionary definition google provides. it's like saying "mrs smith and her family were found dead in a hotel while on their holibobs."
Both of those are kind of meh imo.
Hun wiould be another but I do like honey.
I'm trying to think of others.
I've tried to pull off honey or babe, couldn't do it. Not in me. I had stupid pet names to give but they were way more personal. Actually, I guess I got "lover" and "beloved" (and loaf... and lobe cause of autocorrect so also π and π§ by text) as repeats.
