Jesus Christ, seriously? The amount of political ads we were bombarded with for 6 months leading up to November, and people didn't realize Biden wasn't running?

Functionally, what's the difference between "healing" a Pokemon vs. using their genetic makeup and organic matter to biologically 3d print a fully healthy clone?

What I don't get is the inaction from the democratic party on changing the voting system between elections.

  1. The Democrats didn't secure a large enough majority in previous elections to overcome Republican resistance to changing things like FPTP voting or the electoral college.

  2. There is a lot of contention within the Democratic party (at the federal level at least) as it shifts further towards the right in an effort to remain in power. Getting rid of FPTP voting would make it harder for centrist/right leaning Democrats to remain in power.

Several states have switched to RCV for some of their elections, and progress has been slow, but it's being made. If you want to see more, elect people that prioritize implementing better voting systems.

This take is comical. Trump ran for president in 2000 then did fuck all politically except hoard wealth until the 2016 run. Harris has been in political positions and actively working in politics for over two decades. Regardless of age, if anyone works for 20 straight years at something, it's fair to say they've made a career of that thing.

Putting words in my mouth, making wild accusations, on top of being incredibly disrespectful elsewhere in this thread, nice.

You can't deny that both Newt Gingrich and Bill Clinton are adulterers. Newt Gingrich accusing Bill Clinton of adultery is hypocrisy on Newt Gingrich's part, because Newt Gingrich is an adulterer. That was the original point of the original comment. Saying a person does a bad thing is not the same as absolving them of all of their other transgressions, like you're trying to so pedantically suggest. If you'd like to continue this discussion I'd be happy to, but if you want to continue to accuse and divert, I will not be replying.

How are you this dense? It doesn't matter if the acts are equivalent. One adulterer accusing another adulterer of adultery is hypocrisy.

Calling it an affair draws a parallel to the affair Newt Gingrich was having with his dying wife you acorn
