My understanding is that this kind of thing is very common in the US as it provides incentives for their sports franchises to remain in the city instead of moving elsewhere. Unlike in Europe (the UK at least) where teams tend to fund their own stuff as it's essentially verboten to move towns (MK Dons is still disliked for that and it required an entire comission to figure out if you were actually allowed to do that)

Spa, Silverstone and Singapore. Why Singapore? Well before I started watching F1 I was playing the F1 racing games in like 2011 and Singapore was my absolute favourite circuit to drive, I still enjoy playing it now actually.

It's the same thing as with mercedes domination, and red bull domination before that. They've found a solution to the rules that works really well and they have improvements that they are finding, although they're going to hit the incremental returns wall sooner. I don't know if they're going to be properly caught by 2025, don't forget that mercedes weren't caught by 2016, which was a year before the new wider cars were introduced, you had to wait until 2021 and a chassis freeze + nerf for that to happen.

Mercedes has obviously had to go back to the drawing board and hopefully understand their car better now so should be able to get closer next year. Aston could stay in the top spots which will be good. Ferrari have way too many resources to be kept down for long, but obviously their internal culture seems to need a rework, and I wouldn't put them in a championship hunt as they are now.

We'll see what the new engine regs have in store but it's not a massive change in some ways so it might not affect much unless someone completely shits the bed.

Seems an odd one. I'm a Liverpool supporter so I know full well that ox doesn't have any knees. He can be decent when fit, but the when fit part is a problem.

Seems like a decent move for both clubs. Tielemans is a decent midfielder and Aston Villa is in the prem. The villa supporter I know seems happy.

I think anarchychess is planning exactly that. They're private today (Sunday) and going unmoderated on Monday.

While Campi Flegrei — which means "burning fields" — may be closer to rupture, there is no guarantee that this will actually result in an eruption, the study concluded.

Pretty standard conclusion for studies like this. There's signs of activity but we can't actually predict with certainty. Close to eruption could mean tomorrow, could mean hundreds of years, could mean a new volcano is forming. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Haha. Honestly Elite: Dangerous can already be Space Truck Sim if you want. I've made plenty of money that way. That doesn't mean I won't buy this though.

Yeah, I mean the article seems to suggest that while overriding the automated signalling is prohibited it happens regularly. It sounds to me like a culture change is needed, hopefully this crash is enough to spur that into existence although it won't be easy or quick.

I absolutely love the steam deck. I bounce around games, the most recent new release I played was Hogwarts Legacy. More recently I've been using it as like background occupation to listen to podcasts and have been playing euro truck sim 2 and American truck sim. It's also gotten me back into Elite: Dangerous so I should probably finish that exploration route I had set up. I also very almost finished Celeste (like I'm on the final level), so I should probably go back and finish that. Like I said, I bounce around lol.

Playing next I'm not really sure, I bought KSP2 on launch day but wasn't really able to run it, but the new updates seem to have majorly improved performance so I'll try that when I next feel like it.
