Usually Indies, a lot of slay the spire recently, but I've just started Street Fighter VI.
Tempted by System Shock next cos I never played the original.

Steam Deck best tech purchase for me in a long time. Don’t judge me too much but I’ve been playing Disney Speedstorm between TotK sessions.
Disco Elysium. Fantastic writing and pretty hilarious at times.
It's also pretty good as a portable PC when traveling too, so that's nice.
Amazing game, so well written. I was regularly cracking up at it.
Celeste Strawberry Jam
An absolute masterpiece that runs perfectly on the Deck
Not a steamdeck user but a linux pc gamer so solidarity. Currently playing RE2 and Like a dragon Ishin.
Vampire Survivors for a while. Lately I just finished up a run through of Pokemon Red and just got started on a run of Pokemon Silver.
Horizon Zero Dawn. Had it on PS4 and didn't get far. Having a Deck changes everything.
Stardew Valley works nicely with the Steam Deck, though with all the mods it literally takes 10 minutes to load. On the plus side though, the suspend feature basically let's me just keep the game running for days.
Recently: Skyrim yet again, Portal 2 Currently: Horizon Zero Dawn, Wreckfest, Emulators Next: Probably Cyberpunk. I started it a few months ago, but have been playing Horizon instead.
Yeah, baby! Somebody point me in the direction of another Steam Deck subre-... Channel?
I've been playing lots of Street Fighter 6, but also Metroidvania indies. Currently playing through They Always Run and it's pretty much pixel 2d Mandalorian and it's pretty damn cool!
I think the word you are looking for in "community".
Diablo 4 for me! Amazing performance, it can even run on Ultra but battery is sucked dry within 45 minutes
Playing Diablo 4 aswell. Just finished the main quest line. Also currently playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
After religiously following the order number tracking efforts on the Steam Deck subreddit (finally got mine May '22) it's been my 'clearing the backlog whilst sitting with the significant other' device...heavily punctuated with Vampire Survivors and, lately, Diablo 4. It's a great little roguelike device -- stuff like Cult of the Lamb, Spelunky 2, and Rogue Legacy 2 -- that I can just play for a few minutes wherever the Heck I'd like.
I still find it like holding black magic. I'm a software engineer, and I understand how it works, but playing a Windows port of a PS4 game (like Horizon) in Linux in my hands is something I don't think I'll ever not be impressed by!
I've actually set my Deck up with a wireless keyboard and mouse and a monitor and spend a lot of time using it in desktop mode. The "real" gaming PC is still around, but it's a fallback. So I'm arguably playing Beehaw on it right now, but I just alt-tabbed away from Overload to do this. I'll play Guild Wars 2 on it for a while tomorrow..
I have 400 steam games, a Series X, a PS5, a Switch OLED, a gaming PC, but I spend most of my time playing Brotato on my Steam Deck.
It's mostly all ToTK, all the time here, but on the Deck, it's the System Shock remake. Runs very nicely, but the controller support is so so & I haven't spent the time setting up a config map yet.
TOTK! Runs great via some of the latest Yuzu updates.
Also Pizza Tower and a bit of PGA 2K21 here and there.
I played through Disco Elysium recently and it does surprisingly well for a small screen.
currently we <3 katamari reroll which is such a perfect fit on the platform it almost hurts
I'm playing TOTK on switch right now, but when I'm done, I'm probably going back to Lost Judgement.
I mostly play older games because I'm a bit of a patient gamer. Here are some I'm playing:
And games I'm looking forward to:
Old school RuneScape- don't play this game, it sucks and I have an addiction
Yuzu emulator - playing the Luminescent platinum romhack of BDSP. Having a great time, it's an excellent romhack so far.
Mechabellum - the only good auto chess style game I've played, and it's really good. Doesn't quite run well enough on the deck for my liking so I just stream from my PC in the other room
All indies all the time. I have been thoroughly sick of "AAA" games (and the industry itself) since the switch to 3D. Spelunky HD / 2, the new TMNT, Streets of Rage 4, Neuro Voider, Stardew Valley, and on and on. Also old console games because it's always morally okay to emulate games on old consoles. Related, it's always morally okay to pirate Nintendo's games.
Decker here. Have not touched it in a while since TOTK, but I've been playing emulated titles mostly on it and Civilization VI.
Looking forward to actually continue with Yakuza 0 because of the Like A Dragon hype lately! Also got some Humble Choice games I gotta try, like Windjammers 2. Really need to start getting that backlog down a bit.
I'm at like 60 hours of Dead Cells now and I still haven't beaten the thing. Can't get past the Hand of the King, but dang is that game satisfying to play.
I was never a roguelike fan until I played Hades and now I guess I'm an addict.
I'm still not sure if I want to get the Steam Deck, I play portable games on my Switch and while I miss out on having all my Steam library and stuff, I just can't seem to reasonably justify buying one
I sold my switch when I got my SD. I couldn’t justify having a worse device, with worse ergonomics, with worse games pricing, and technically with no exclusives (thank you Yuzo). the SD is all-around a much better device than any Switch.
Been playing BOTW but also XCOM 2 and the roguelike deckbuilders bundle from Humble Bundle recently. Loving the steamdeck so much.
Steamdeck owner since August last year, here. And I love it... As a traditional console gamer, it's been great to dig into my basically untouched Steam library that I've steadily accumulated with Humble Bundles over the last decade or more. Steam sales are a game changer... I've discovered so many titles I would have otherwise missed! I should say that I am 99% a docked gamer as well, and the Steamdeck works absolutely fine like this.
In terms of games - I've just started Ori and the Blind Forest (currently on sale). I'm also playing Final Fantasy XIV on and off. I spent 120+ hours on Elden Ring on the deck. And I'm patiently waiting for the Dark Souls games to go on sale so I can pick them up and start yet another playthrough.
Diablo 4 runs very well on the SteamDeck and has annihilated my free time
I’ve been playing Diablo IV since it came out! Runs surprisingly well.
Been mostly playing ToTK on switch like some here, though I think I'll have to give a few more attempts at P ranking some bosses in Pizza Tower soon, or perhaps try to 100% Hifi Rush
I've been playing a lot of Diablo IV - runs super smooth at 45FPS with very little tweaking. The controls feel great too, especially if you've ever played Diablo 3 on a controller.
Other than that, I've installed Decky and have been tweaking the system to my liking with the CSS Loader plugin. Highly recommend giving it a look!
I was a really early pre-orderer and love my deck. Playing Cosmic Star Heroine this week!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/256460/Cosmic_Star_Heroine/
River City Girls is up next.
I've just beaten Control, it's pretty weird, but still a fun game. Worked on the deck without any issues and configuration. Next I'll play Horizon Zero Dawn.
Yakuza Like a Dragon is my current game, it's been great. I like a lot of things about the Yakuza games in general, but the combat never really worked for me. The combat in this one is so much better imo,
Just as a note, there's a couple of Deck communities. I'm on !steamdeck@sopuli.xyz (beehaw.org/c/steamdeck@sopuli.xyz) and !steamdeck@lemmy.ml (beehaw.org/c/steamdeck@lemmy.ml) at the moment. The one on Sopuli seem to be a bit more active
I've been playing Lone Fungus from the recent metroidvania humble bundle, it's alright? Takes a lot from other games, Hollow Knight in particular, and mostly doesn't live up to its inspirations, but is still fun enough. Very easy to binge and it has a bunch of areas/bosses so it's not really repetitive or slow at all. Like a 6/10 so far, but if you've played nearly everything in the genre like I have it's fun enough
Not played it on my deck yet, but I heard a LOT about Hades being amazing on Deck... I bought it the other day and played it a stupid amount over the weekend on my desktop in glorious 240FPS. Apparently it runs at a locked 60 on Deck!
I've been playing Celeste on the Steam Deck. Really good game and its a replay, since previously I had done it on the Switch.
HIya! I jump around a lot but today I started playing Warhammer 40K Space Marine again in preparation for the release of the sequel. Before that I'm working through Daemon x Machina to scratch the Armored Core itch I have waiting for AC6.
