Felons can be elected president, but in most cases, cannot vote in the presidential election. Because, America... I guess.

Can you provide some detail on your comment? As a non colorblind person, I would like to understand how this image could have been modified to include our colorblind brethren.

As a member of the south, I can say with confidence: You do NOT want the south to sit down and discuss anything... The results would be disastrous.

"Zero tolerance" policy on fighting. Any "active" participation resulted in automatic suspension. That part sounds fine, but active participation included things like holding up your hands in self defense or trying to push the person sitting on your chest while punching you in the face off of you.

I'm definitely not a Linux expert, but I found that being logged in locally and remotely with the same user account will cause this. Try setting up unique accounts for local\remote.

I honestly don't think it matters at this point. The company that publishes the app has all of your data. Almost any big publisher will sell all of the data they collect. Once it is sold, it can be resold. Even if it isn't sold, high profile hacks are dime-a-dozen these days. Assume anything you put into an electronic device will, eventually, make it's way into an open database someday.

I can't think of any popular tech YouTube channels based in or near Alabama. As was mentioned above, a local community college CIS or CS department would probably be a great place to get some assistance, or at least put you in contact with more local resources.

The YouTube channels mentioned above by @DolphLundgren@lemmy.world are some of my favorites. Craft Computing and Level 1 Techs are two others.

I'm there are also many people here on Lemmy that would be willing to hop into a Discord call with you and discuss some of the basics.
