They definitely jinxed themselves with that DK3 trailer within DK2.
Those games were so good.
So there was a game in very early development by Tomonobu Itagaki back in like 2006. For context he was the game director and essentially frontman for Team Ninja back when the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden franchises were probably at their peak.
It was called Code Chronos and it was supposed to be a Ninja Gaiden-esc game following the female ninja sisters Kasumi and Ayane. Now you can roll your eyes all you want at me but in 2006 I was a teen. Big tittied ninja girls and Ninja Gaiden style gameplay was too hype to be real. Which was exactly its fate after Itagaki left Team Ninja.
Any of the notable cell shaded games always look good to me. Jet Set Radio, Okami, Auto Modellista, all still gorgeous
