If you really want to help them though you should understand that, for the people making this argument, probably 99.99% of people in their lives are cis. If 99.99% of travel was done by car, then yes it would be the "normal" way of travel and there'd be no need to distinguish.

Maybe a better example would be EVs? We've never needed to specify an "ICE" car before because they've had dominance. Now though, EVs are becoming more common and all of a sudden what used to be just a "car" is an ICE car. It was always an ICE car but there was never a need to say it because nobody ever had EVs. Well, not anymore! And same for gender.

I put the older model behind all my light switches about a year ago and it was a great decision. All of my lights can now be controlled, I can use any bulb, and have any light switch faceplate (I hate the touch screen "modern" look that all smart switches seem to have).

What about your home WiFi ssid and password? I have emojis in mine and it causes all sorts of problems. Worth it.

There's a vegan branch but it's too many commits behind master

I watch NFL from the UK where none of this applies, you can get a subscription service that covers all games. I went to my friend's house to watch it once, but his TV didn't have the right app so I went to cast it from my phone. The app blocked casting. Maybe watch it from a laptop with HDMI? Also didn't work.

We pirate now.

Left is reverse threaded, so you need to turn it counter clockwise to screw it in

Casually everybody will obviously carry on saying "accident" for now, but I wonder how fast it will filter down from official language to every day language. Would be interesting to watch the trend over the next few decades. Like how people still say "road tax".

Yep totally lost the plot. You're right it's impossible to cook safely without latex gloves on 🙄

[–] GiveOver 0 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Exactly, so you agree it's the same whether you have gloves on or not? It's all about being hygienic and following the rules

[–] GiveOver -1 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Yeah so the unhygienic people scratch their arse with their gloves on. Now what?

Fun fact, when you see "ye olde tavern", the y is used in place of þ. Which is pronounced "the".

I don't know why this guy insists on using these old letters but hey it's fun seeing colourful people on the internet. I say upvote the fella.
