One of my favorite moments of this game was when I stumbled across a KKK meeting in the woods. Rather than just go in guns blazing, I decided to stay hidden and listen in. They proceeded to perform some kind of ritual involving candles, and proceeded to light themselves on fire and all burn to death.

The only side of my family who was in the country at the time were Quaker, so probably didn’t have anything to do with the war. Could be worth looking into, though.

I flip off the breaker, just to be safe.

I live in Washington state, most of my electricity is from hydro or nuclear. My bill is usually about $80 a month, but it can go over $100 in the summer if I’m running the AC a lot.

According to Shadowrun lore, the next step is the Supreme Court allowing corporations to raise their own private armies.

I love daguerrotypes, they’re such a vivid look into the past. Exposures outdoors in bright sunlight only took a few seconds, but as this one appears to be taken indoors he would have indeed needed to stand there for quite a while. That’s probably why his left hand is blurry (he’s holding the flag in his right hand - daguerrotypes were laterally mirrored).

Also, see the faint parallel lines all over the picture? Those are faint marks made by the photographer as he was polishing the plate just prior to sensitizing it and loading it into the camera.

Some kids at my high school tried that on their phones, but it never worked because all the other kids in the room would cuss them out for basically inflicting the entire room with mosquito-in-ear noises.
