Bro how many are there I feel like I can add unlimted apps lol
Damn. The app situation has improved so dramatically over the last month!
Voyager is on google play now
Yup added the Playstore Link
Photon is also a mobile-capable web app
Thanks added it to the list
It looks like shit on mobile though, only looks half decent on desktop
Jerboa being the only one on F-Droid, guess I'm sticking with Jerboa!
Just get IzzyOnDroid's repo, that also has Infinity, Thunder and Liftoff! ;)
You can also use Obtanium and add all of them to track the update
If you use F-Droid you should have Izzys repo enable anyway tho, no matter the client! ;)
Obtanium Supported sources include (source from the app) :
GitHub (Searchable from the app)
GitLab (Searchable from the app)
Codeberg (Searchable from the app)
F-Droid Official (Searchable from the app)
IzzyOnDroid
F-Droid Third-Party Repo
Jenkins
SourceForge
SourceHut
APKMirror (Track-Only)
APKPure
Mullvad Signal
VLC Telegram App
Steam
NeutronCode
HTML
You just need to add the desired app link to the app(obtanium). it's pretty neat
That dose sounds awesome, now I have to check it out for sure!
Voyager on plan to be in F-Droid. Check its sub.
The apps that I know that support mark as read posts while you scroll and hide read posts are:
Sync Summit Voyager Infinity Connect (which handles it differently)
Ye but which one is the best
At the moment I would say Sync, the level of polish is unmatched in other apps, and it has many customization features as well as being relatively stable and bug free for a beta. The downside is there are ads to support the dev and the cost to remove them is high. Oh and if you absolutely refuse to use non-FOSS then this isn't for you sadly
What about FOSS ones?
Which is best and why?
Nice list!
How about for iOS? I could only think of 4 right now. Not sure if there's more.
- Lemmios
- Avelon
- Memmy
- Mlem
- Voyager
- Liftoff!
- Thunder
I had no idea Liftoff also works with iOS!
Liftoff works for Android, ios, windows, Linux
Did not know about arctius. The ui looks cool, thanks 🌞
Upvoted using Arctius. I've been using it since 0.0.1 and very happy with it and the dev.
Since "Upcoming" and "Web-app" are included, here's mine:
Leanish (Upcoming) [Web-App]
I'm really struggling with having an icon. Idk what branding to use.
Currently using thunder and Summit. The latest update has made summit my favorite.
Anyone found a good one for ṭablet use? Just got an S8 and Connect ain't great.
Maybe give Infinity for Lemmy a shot! I don't have a tablet to test on at the moment but I recall Infinity for Reddit (which this is a fork of) supporting tablets.
https://codeberg.org/Bazsalanszky/Infinity-For-Lemmy/releases
Some minor bugs but development is moving quickly. Bazsalanszky is doing an incredible job and I'd personally consider the app to be in a usable state for the average Lemmy user already :)
I don't use an tablet so I don't know how good it is but sync has tablet options in the settings. It isn't FOSS though if you care about that.
I am still using connect, but long term I hope the development for "Slide" goes well. That is what I used on my tablet for Reddit and imo it was great.
any public apps for kbin? i'm using the PWA for now but i'd really prefer a native app
Artemis is one that’s in development and using the new beta API on the Artemis.Camp server. It’s great so far, I’m replying to your comment with it.
There's no API at the moment so Artemis is using scraping to get by, but it's not released yet. Ernest (the kbin main dev) is working on an API and app as well. It'll come, but it might still need some weeks.
Someone is working on one. Don't think it's out yet, though.
