Tabletop Rpg posts, content, and recruitment posts.

Recruitment posts should contain what system is being played, CW for any adult/serious themes players need to be aware of and whether a game is beginner friendly.

An obvious reminder of no racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia.

Emphasis on small independent rpgs like the ones in the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas but not against dnd stuff.

Hey, so I'm hosting a campaign of Comrades and next session I'm thinking of having the party on site when a spontaneous strike starts. For context the setting is homebrew, WWI ish with fantasy elements. Obviously they can participate in organizing the workers and talking with people who attempt to intimidate or buy off the strikers but I'd like to have a few more tricks and nudges on standby to keep things going just in case. Any suggestions? Currently I've got "dealing with potential police actions" and "the company sends Pinkertons/infiltrators" but I'd appreciate your thoughts.

one of the strikebreakers has purportedly been lynched and the police have tasked you with investigating the murder

Ooh yeah, could be a set up or something to take control of the narrative. There's a lot of variations on that suggestion with potential too.

You could have the killer be a disgruntled veteran that lives in a separate island in self imposed exile, and have the investigation lead up to getting to the island.

Plenty of opportunity for red herrings, like the union would obviously be fine with scabs disappearing and probably has some militant members.

Drumming up support with other members of the community maybe? Like townsfolk who could bring by food and drink, umbrellas and/or shade to the strikers, that kinda talky worldbuilding sorta sidequest

Yeah I think especially if it ends up being a big thing going on for multiple sessions that becomes more likely. There's other industries in town with shitty working conditions too, so solidarity or spreading the strike is also a possibility.

Have them throw an event to keep worker morale high, that tends to happen a lot when strikes drag on.

That makes sense. I've been trying to figure out how to run the strike if it ends up taking a long time, I'm worried it might get boring for the party.

Welcome to labor unions, lol 😆

Back then strikes were much more exciting and dangerous, but they were still long slogs.
