NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].

Try Vivaldi. It's from the original opera people and has many more features. Iirc couple years ago opera was sold to some Chinese company and stopped using its own engine which caused its popularity to decline. It's not that it's a bad browser, but aside from the performance limiter function they keep advertising for gx, it's pretty much obsoleted by Vivaldi imo.
Give firefox a go as well. Vivaldi has lots of cool features, but if you don't really use them switching to Firefox is a better choice simply because it's not a chromium based browser.
Why its hated:
Opera browser was sold to a Chinese consortium of investors led by Beijing Kunlun Tech Co and Qihoo 360 in 2016 for US$600 million. The deal included the browser, the consumer business, and the Opera brand.
