Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Man, that made up news story about a school in Wisconsin providing litter boxes to furry students really did a number on chuds brains huh.

And they've been hyper fixated on it ever since. A little weird if you ask me.

Has that actually happened anywhere because I still have people I know telling me it's happening in my area.

The story I heard is that it's real, but the buckets of cat litter are actually there for kids to go in during school shooter lockdowns.

Cat litter is also a staple for spill cleanup, particularly when it involves vomit

My sister's boyfriend told me that it was happening in Scotland, according to his uncle or something. That one lie has spread so far and nobody has bothered to check if it is false

Literally just 4chan the country.

Eventually they'll just admit that they want to make life as shitty as possible for people simply for the lulz. We're overrun by 14 year olds that never left their Hoppean phase.

This could mean that the right is realising they can't win the battle for trans rights. The right wing will try to find an "acceptable target" to spread hate about, in order to get their foot in the door and spread more hatred and prejudice for other groups. The fact that they're increasingly focusing on furries means that they realise they're slowly but surely losing their battle against trans rights and are trying to pivot to another target. I expect to see all their usual claims soon, talking about how furries are sexual predators, weird stuff about bathrooms (they already had that litterbox bullshit) accusations of grooming children, accusations of people being "secret furries" or something. It'll be rough for them.

the children yearn for the kennels

i remember when 'fursecution' was mostly a problematic/ironic concept used satirically to emphasize the actual oppression of racial and sexual minorities with the fact that furries weren't super popular on certain internet spaces.

but

CW mention of incorrect conflations in conservative thought relating to sexual minoritiesobviously its not much more of a jump to assume that furries = zoophiles than it is to assume that gays = pedophiles or that trans = groomers

There is almost no way they will remember to make this exception and there is almost no way at least some school administrators will throw out their beloved mascot costume for fear of violating this law

Politician tries to introduce a bill against the idea of anthropomorphic climate change but the furries got caught in the cross fire.

[–] fox@hexbear.net 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Did u mean anthropic there because I'm having a hard time conceptualizing anthropomorphic climate change
