Animal crossing
tbh a lot of high action open world games i feel are “taking a walk” when i want, not just the relaxing games.
because i do just that. kick around and look at detailing. i love to see the choices in world building. “this dev forgot a light bubble here” or “hah, this wall repeats. guess they were crunched or dev had an off day”
i do the same in real life too when i decide to kick through my city. engineers, architects, builders, repairers, etc all leave their own little marks of how their day was going when they put something together
No Mans Sky.
Just go planet sight seeing.
I get on RDR2 and just go hunting.
I also play Firewatch yearly.
MGSV
I love just dropping into Afghanistan, getting on my horse and riding to some outposts to infiltrate and sneak around in.
No mans sky, just go in, do some farming, watch some ships pass, ride around on my moth, explore a planet, build a cool base, whatever I'm feeling at the time really.
Driving around the gta 5 highways
I have spent 5-10 hours in botw just cutting grass.
An online hunt in Monster Hunter Rise.
The Sims 4. Literally just chilled out gameplay for me
Psychonauts
Seconded on Spider-Man. But also RDR. Ride my horse, pick flowers, skin animals.
im from brazil, and when i was a lil kid by 2015, i loved to drive in vespucci beach in gta 5 thinking i was in LA.
Elder scrolls. Caleides (from Oblivion to Elder Scrolls Online) loves just running around picking flowers. Sometimes for hours he'll just run around picking flowers and other materials.
Mapping in PoE.
I go fast, screen explodes, repeat.
FFXV because of the timed quests.
Guild Wars 2, or fucking around with silly impractical combos in fighting games' training modes.
If I just need a comfort game, something to make me feel at home, I play counter strike.
Driving and listening to music in Vice City or just wandering around in Skyrim.
Easily Subnautica.
Doom Eternal on Nightmare
Forza Horizon 5
Rec Room. Love it.
Odyssey if I just want to wander around somewhere, Just Cause 3 or 4 if I want to mindlessly watch stuff blow up.
Riders Republic
No Mans Sky. I just go wherever.
Death stranding
Going for a walk in RDR2
Arma reforger is a great hike
Just a real quick run through of starfox 64.
Breath of the Wild/TOTK, I love just putting casual clothes on link and going out weaponless and enjoying the sights and such
You mean something we're supposed to do but don't enjoy doing it? Destiny 2 weeklies.
Starting up tropico and just building up my island nation.
Actually any game where I can "build something up" gives me that feeling.
Astroneer. That is my go-to when I'm super pissed off or just need to take a break. The sounds, the visuals, the relatively simplistic objectives. I've never even gotten far, I just like to drive around and collect materials to bring back to base over and over.
Death Stranding - but I guess it's actually the video-game equivalent of "Going for a walk"
Death Stranding. Do I even need to say it?
In a very literal sense, Hunter: Call of the Wild. Just got into it a few weeks ago; a session is basically a really nice walk through gorgeous scenery. With headphones on, it's incredibly immersive and relaxing.
Planet Coaster, sandbox mode.
I greatly enjoy The Stanley Parable Deluxe whenever it’s been just long enough that I’ve forgotten the jokes
taking off from Burbank and flying around LA in MSFS
American Truck Simulator/European Truck Simulator 2
Flying around in no mans sky
Are we talking walking the dog going for a walk... or Alucard from Hellsing Abridged going for a walk? Cause the same phrase has two very different meanings...
I literally open Spider-Man Web of Shadows to swing around New York for a while. No missions, no beating up enemies, nothing.
Sometimes I do this with Spider-Man Remastered too, but I like the speed of Web of Shadows better.
Just cruising in whatever GTA game I’m on playing at the moment.
mmorpgs, jumping in a circle
Playing League of Legends ARAM.
Fallout 4 for sure
A few laps of Tokyo expressway, at night, in the rain, on Gran Turismo.
I used to do it in VR on gran turismo sport, but have to settle for flat screen now since i don't have psvr2.
