No micro transactions in full price games, leave that shit in f2p or as a way to support devs (like cosmetic packs in deep rock galactic, good for your money but not really worth it most people buy it as they like they want to support the game)

It’s becoming more common, but having the option to display Xbox/playstation/switch control buttons is an easy QOL improvement.

REMAPPABLE KEYS.
The worst thing about crappy console ports is someone else arbitrarily deciding what mouse/keyboard key maps to what controller button.
The ability to pick your own colours for labelled stuff, particularly in FPS games. I appreciate the dedicated colour blind options but most of the time none of them work for me at all. Why not just let me pick whatever colour I want for the 2nd lvl evo shield in Apex? I dunno.
While not practical I would love multiplayer games to use servers. I know it's expensive but when I some large multiplayer game using P2P connection I just cringe at the terribly ping.
Regional matchmaking for sure so you're not placed with people all over the world and everyone is pinging 800+ on average.
Particularly for open world games, less reliance on the map for exploration.
Elden Ring is absolutely brilliant at this, as soon as you leave the crypt you can see the landscape very clearly guiding you towards your goal, but also allowing for deviations with interesting POIs. This lessens as the game goes on, but remains somewhat true.
Just looking at the map and following floating markers is nowhere near as fun. RDR2 without the map is infinitely more immersive for example.
When devs are ready to stop updating a game, a physical release should be released and marketed as including all DLC and patches on disc and no online connection for single player content. Like every game us geriatric millennials enjoyed until the PS4 Xbone era.
Aiming being customisable on the PC or console, then translating to any game played.
Similar to how 360 had profile default settings.
It's more of a controller thing.
So you could play two games and have them feel exactly the same.
Deadzones, acceleration, aim curves.
As much as I hate to admit it. Call of Duty absolutely nails controller aiming and is probably the smoothest experience of any game, without having to fully customize settings first. It would be nice if those accurately tweaked settings wee just industry standard.
Games using better compression so I don't have to download a game that's 100gb that's mostly audio files.
Not shipping a game until it's actually complete, rather than relying on patches to fix or just blatantly shipping an unfinished game.
While I had my issues with the free tier of Halo Infinite battle pass(it was completely pointless) the fact the passes didnt just arbitrarily end is something that definitely needs to be normalized.

The older I get, the more often I am excited to get back into a game just to be totally overwhelmed by not knowing everything. I have already f*ing started Skyrim thrice, dangit.
Skippable fights/puzzles.
I can’t remember the game, but after being stuck on a puzzle a pop-up asked if I wanted to skip it.
Games are entertainment. I want more control over my experience.
Cock customization.
Not making me deaf with blasting their music as soon as I launch the game.
60fps for next gen consoles with good optimization for console and pc, but that’ll never happen
The lore thingy in FFXVI
Say what you want about the game but the ability to check both the lore for the current situation, AND the whole timeline when in the hideout was amazing
Exit to desktop directly from in-game
On the PC it should be standard that every game let's you manually choose which control input device to use. Too often games will just autodetect a joystick/controller/etc and just default to it with no ability to change that by the player, which is a serious problem. The number of games that require me to unplug one device or another just to be able to use the specific device I want to use is too damn high. I shouldn't have to crawl behind my PC to unplug my joystick if I want to use my Xbox controller.
Decent anti-cheat
No battle passes.
UI customization, particularly for consoles. Sucks that so many games I want to play I can't because the text is way too small or too faint. I don't want to have to stand right in front of my tv in order to play.
Last of Us Part II had a setting that would point a small arrow in the direction of the character talking. Being deaf, having that feature was a godsend while playing and I’m sad more games haven’t implemented stuff like it.
