Bioshock. When you figure out the twist. I was angry but also got chills from how cool it was.

The first time I left a planet and flew to another one in No Man's Sky.
That was a really awesome. It was such a chore to get the ship into working condition the first time but was so satisfying to get out into space.
The last of us. You know the bit.
I will never forget Joel running through the hospital, gunning down everyone in sight on my way, and finally killing the doctors about to kill Ellie.
I didn’t even think about the choice. For a moment, I really was Joel. I knew exactly what he would do, and I did it. There are far too few of games where that kind of role playing exists.
The Last of Us when Joel decides to save Ellie. And the part two when he… you know
Level 3 of Halo 1 on the original xbox, when you find the dead marines, watch the video recording from the helmet cam and first come into contact with the flood. I still remember sitting on the floor of my lounge room super immersed with my friend!
TF|2 finale, "Protocol 3, Protect the Pilot"
Mass Effect when you get through the base on Virmire and activate the console and trigger the conversation with Sovereign... That and discovering / speaking with the Prothean VI Vigil on Ilos.
Death Stranding, crossing the tar belt.
Disco Elysium, the tribunal.
Outer Wilds, the ending.

Childhood: God of War (PS2) scale and graphics. Truly a marvel.
The opening level in bioshock, got high started it and had to go for a smoke break because damn..
Utah Beach, June 6, 1944. We were advancing off the Uncle Red sector of the beach, assaulting into WN5, when a burst of machine gun fire took down our squad lead as he crested a sandy berm. The squad's medic and I jumped behind the berm for cover, and when we collected ourselves realized that our squad leader was still alive and calling for help. We sprang into action, ready to aid our wounded comrade. The medic popped a smoke grenade and I began to crawl to the edge of the berm, ready to cover him when the smoke was thick enough for him to move.
As the smoke billowed, and the medic got ready to move, a lone German artillery shell impacted on the opposite side of the berm, and flung our squad leader's dismembered and bloody body over the edge and right into our faces.
War is Hell, and Hell... Let Loose.
In halo 3 when "one final effort" starts playing and you fly to the relic and this marine is like " I count two scarabs, repeat two scarabs! " I'll never forget this moment
Library of ruina, love town, I refuse to elaborate further
Jedi: Fallen Order
When you hear that breathing and see the Second Sisters reaction. Mimiced my own
General shepherds betrayal in og mw2 or the nuke in mw1
In Watchdogs Legion, the mission ‘Coming Home’ lives rent free in my head:
The way you gradually discover what Skye Larsen has done to her family is so exquisitely portrayed by clues in the environment. Not only do you as a player experience the slow burn horror realisation of learning the truth of the past, but you also have to take heartbreaking decisions…
This mission absolutely has to be played in person to fully experience the reveal(s) which I shall not spoil here!
Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear Solid 2.
Halo 1, watching Pvt. Jenkins' point of view.
Or Halo 3, when the Arbiter finally kills the Prophet of Truth.
"I.. am... Truth! The voice of the covenant!"
"And so, you must be silenced."
General Shepard’s betrayal…
Ghost of Tsushima, when you ride off into the tall grass and the title screen appears. Writing this brings a tear to my eyes.
Opening that door after O&S
I still get emotional thinking about the end of Outer Wilds
Torna's destruction with Mythra completely losing it all.
It’s already been mentioned but the conversation with Sovereign on Virmire. That was when the story got good. Then speaking with Vigil on Ilos was when I got really invested into the story. That third act of the original Mass Effect is tough to beat.
The first time I got to fight The Lich King in WoW. After struggling for weeks on Sindragosa, teleporting onto that platform. 14-minute epic battle. We beat it after like a week of trying. Cool stuff
The Last of Us - Giraffe moment
Half Life going through the portal and the workers were just so docile.

The quest from Fallout 4 Show No Mercy.
The first one is great, you get paired up with Danse and get tasked to go down Fort Strong and clear it from Supermutants. But the execution was the great part. Got suit up in BoS armor, got as well equipped as possible, we even flew there in Vertibird, killed as many Supermutants before landing, then got deployed in a 2 men team. It just felt great.
Even after i've done this, i end up doing this a lot of times to help in Minutemen quests andhelping settlements, but that one felt very special.
When the city speaks to you in Disco Elysium (Shivers).
Alternatively basically everything in the Fortress of Regrets in Planescape Torment.

Seeing chronos crawl trough the desert while on the temple on his back in god of war was definitely a moment.
Bravely Default - when the title screen fades out from "Where the fairy flies" to the blood red "Airy Lies." Still feel chills thinking about it.
Entirety of outer wilds but especially when >!you find out there is no way to stop the sun from exploding. I just sat in the station staring as the sun expanded and blew up trying to process the info that the world is doomed.!< It was an extremely impactful moment in a game filled with them.
Another two are more recent for me but when >!Ardbert hands you the axe and the shadowbringers theme kicks in!< in Shadowbringers and in Endwalker when you >!walk up the crystal staircase with Alphinaud and Alisaie. You end the journey with the two that were there at the start. Gave me chills and moved me to tears.!<
