Oh no, is he breaking the dress code? Chaos in the Senate!!

[–] 1024_Kibibytes@lemm.ee 28 points 1 year ago (2 children)

At least it's not sexual chaos. That would be too scary for Speaker Johnson. This is the senate, so or might not matter as much

[–] Beelzebob@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

That would be the House of Representatives.

[–] BarrelAgedBoredom@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

Not just anyone in congress can go off grabbing the hog all willy-nilly. They have standards

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 34 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I love this. He is starting to remind me of The Dude, in the senate.

[–] Techmaster@lemm.ee 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

He just needs a white Russian and a robe

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't think the Senate would survive it if he brought a White Russian to a session

[–] fmstrat@lemmy.nowsci.com 6 points 1 year ago

The House is fine with white Russians. Wait, what?

[–] hemmes@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

El Duderino, if you're not in to the whole brevity thing.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world -3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean, we do have translations for dude and it's not "duderino" lol

That is a quote from the movie....

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world -4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm sorry, I forgot I'm supposed to know every line of every movie and TV show that ever existed. Silly me.

[–] tra@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Yeah get defensive, that'll show them!

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 0 points 1 year ago

How is that defensive, exactly? And how does that justify you being all aggressive and with your little attitude? I replied in good faith originally and you reply like everyone is supposed to know these things. Fuck off.

I still love the accusations of body double taking over as it was easy to find a body double that's so big.

I'd vote for this man to be president on the basis of his wardrobe alone.

Fetterman and Gym Shorts 2024

Many progressives are criticizing his support of Israeli government in these times

[–] PeepinGoodArgs@reddthat.com 2 points 1 year ago

And of fossil field fuels

[–] Telodzrum@lemmy.world -4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Taking unwieldy, out-of-their-depth swings on this is more of a leftist thing than a progressive thing.

[–] burntbutterbiscuits@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Especially among the majority of the progressive party, supporting the Israeli government which is very far to the right wing is not popular at all.

You are incorrect.

Edit: (this is without mentioning current events and current events do not change this other than the need to condemn both terrorists and genocidal apartheid governments, while calling for the minimum of a cease fire to protect as many civilians as possible)

[–] Telodzrum@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I see progressives getting behind a measured Israeli military response left and right. Leftists, most prominently “The Squad” are the ones engaging in unmistakable antisemitism and those are proud, self-proclaimed leftists.

[–] burntbutterbiscuits@sh.itjust.works -2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You are talking out of your ass but okay.

You obviously don’t understand the fact that progressives don’t generally support extreme right wing governments that engage in apartheid occupation of civilians.

If all you can do is call people anti semite? Gtfo with that bs

[–] Telodzrum@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sorry your feelings are hurt. Maybe you should reassess your actions if they cause this kind of response.

[–] burntbutterbiscuits@sh.itjust.works -1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I’m just stating facts. His position on the Israeli crisis is disheartening too most of his base.

And Israel is not Judaism nor does Israel speak for Judaism.

[–] MargotRobbie@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago

"Your own body double" is literally the perfect disguise, now no one would ever suspect him of being the actual Senator John Fetterman, because it would be way too obvious!

Sure reminds me of someone here... Hmmm...

[–] slurpeesoforion@startrek.website 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Soooo... Merch table or online?

[–] EatYouWell@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Since he's such a stand up guy I wouldn't be surprised if he got a local print shop to make it.

[–] mx_smith@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The logo at the bottom is the same printing place that printed his campaign hoodies.

[–] EatYouWell@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

It looks like you're right. I was wondering if it was part of his logo, but based on his website it isn't.
