Yes, because obviously Starmer is happy for violence to be directed towards innocent civilians. 🙄
UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
Yup that’s right…
“The leader of the UK's opposition Labour Party, Keir Starmer, on Wednesday declared his backing for what he described as Israel's "right" to totally cut power and water supplies to Palestinians in Gaza.”
Do you think posting a link to middle east eye makes you seem more or less biased?
They've previously been accused of having ties to Qatar and bias in favour of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Did Starmer say that Israel should be allowed to break international law? Or did he say the opposite?
Because Keir is a fucking tory in a labour tie.
One of my best friends says Tony Blair was the best Tory prime minister we ever had.
Starmer has to wait for Israel to approve the script
Because he's still working on winning back the trust of the Jewish community.
By endorsing war crimes.
Strong words from the man that brought peace to Northern Ireland.
NI had nothing to do with Corbyn or Starmer?
The GFA was started under Major and completed under Blair.
I think sarcasm was the order of the day.
Sadly nobody does sarcasm here. 🥹
