Let's do some simple historical material analysis to find the correct answer.
Marx and Marx*? Epic stache bros (and beards to go along with it)
Lenin? You guessed it, a great mustache.
Stalin? By God, look at that glorious stache.
Krushev? No stache!
Gorbachev? Stacheless.
Mao? Where is the hair?!
To further prove the rule:
Castro? You guessed it, stached and bearded.
Ho-Chi? Rockin a nice stache.

Not everyone is able to grow a sick moustache like Stalin sadly
It's not the ~~beard~~ stache on the outside that counts, it's the ~~beard~~ stache on the inside 
To grow ostentatious facial hair, that's not liberalism I guess but it's a hassle and kinda burgeois decadence if you squint really hard
