I don't have any questions really but I want him to know I'm an American who is disgusted with Israel and I want the freedom of the Palestinian people. I hope soon the occupation ends and Israel becomes a small footnote in history

Seconded, best wishes for a bright future at the end of this ordeal

How are religious services maintained in the face of total war? Also how are relationships between different faiths.

Most of them are Muslims

They pray in congregation at the nearest mosque

If a mosque is not available, they pray in a group on a street

Hello! I hope you guys are doing well.

My question is (for both of you) how is the PFLP generally viewed by Palestinians in the West Bank and in Gaza? Historically, was the PFLP closer to Hamas or Fatah? And are there any other prominent leftist organisations?

My dream is to visit Quds one day inshallah.

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 42 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Him:

Me: the PFLP is definitely closer to Hamas than to Fatah ,Hamas and the PFLP were the two main parties who were very very against Oslo when it happened and it seems like their positions have been validated in the eyes of most Palestinians ,Oslo happened over 3 decades ago ,both are viewed positively due to being principled and being resistance movements at their core

I have heard people say they were shot "by" quadcopters or drones but don't fully understand. Are these quadcopter the scouts for Israeli snipers, or has the Zionist entity actually put guns on quadcopters?

[–] bbnh69420@hexbear.net 35 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Not op, but I believe it’s guns on quadcopters

[–] iByteABit@hexbear.net 29 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Fuck that is so dystopian, I hope they're hackable

[–] GaryLeChat@lemmygrad.ml 19 points 4 weeks ago

That's hackable, it's a DJI Matrice 600 series, basically a consumer/business drone.

[–] bbnh69420@hexbear.net 17 points 1 month ago

Israel is making the black ops series reality

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 23 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He’s asking you who do you mean ?

He asked if you mean people getting martyred in Gaza ?

He says

[–] iByteABit@hexbear.net 30 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Are many other Palestinians also finding their way into Egypt? Is Egypt doing anything at all to help them as a state?

Well ,this is me answering you not him ,but he has said many many times that Egypt is doing absolutely nothing at all to help if anything they’re purposely making it harder to leave by charging an insane amount of money

Egyptian people were nice to them though

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 29 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He says if someone really wants to help then he really does need help

[–] CleverOleg@hexbear.net 23 points 1 month ago (1 children)

How can we help, does he have a gofundme?

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 27 points 1 month ago (3 children)

He told me his friend will set up one for him in the next few days

He said that you can donate through the pay pal ,he gave me the Gmail of a trusted friend of his : zeiadabdoo205@gmail.com

[–] bbnh69420@hexbear.net 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Thank you for this, is there a name of some way we can indicate who the contributions are for?

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 6 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Your welcome comrade ,but I don’t get what you mean about the contributions thing ?

[–] bbnh69420@hexbear.net 6 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

If we send money to the friend, does he know to give it to your friend?

Yes

He has said that he has received money yesterday from money someone here donated

What's his favorite Gazan food?

[–] plinky@hexbear.net 26 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

What is best way to help currently, e.g. what organization still can get help inside gaza (which one can be seen)? Or how to realistically screen individual donation drives against scammers? (is there some org or something that collects them, or just trust leftie posters who link them sometimes?)

He’s in Egypt right now , he lived for 7 months during the war in Gaza but managed to go to Egypt

[–] CleverOleg@hexbear.net 24 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Not really a question for your friend but for you: how are you doing?

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 28 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I’m good ,my brother downloaded sparking zero , I still have midterm exams but I’m excited to play it

[–] SadArtemis@hexbear.net 22 points 1 month ago (1 children)

How goes the lawyering process? I know they had concerns/mental baggage around setting up a GoFundMe (which I understand and can relate with), but do you think they would be open to learning about and using the Mutual Aid (community aid, maybe somewhat different) process Hexbear has, alternatively?

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 20 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Can you explain the mutual aid thing ?

[–] SadArtemis@hexbear.net 22 points 1 month ago (1 children)

https://hexbear.net/c/mutual_aid

I feel others could explain it better than me, but it's basically a community resource and a matter of people collectively helping people (rather than completely individualized charity) or so I think? Hopefully others can explain on it better as I feel I'm not doing it justice.

Is the general public allowed access to the tunnels, to the extent that they could just hang out down there, use them as a different way of getting around, or store things underground?

Was there anything notable about education in Gaza under the blockade (but before Al-Aqsa Flood), whether it was a critical shortage, or an adaptation?

Is gardening a viable thing in Gaza? Where the people are condensed and the bombs fall often, are there places in the city where plants will grow?

[–] SoyViking@hexbear.net 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

What dreams and hopes do Gazans have for a free Palestine after the fall of Zionism?

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 15 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago) (1 children)

I've taken the liberty to make a machine translation of the answer. Please correct me if it is inaccurate:

You know, you won't be able to figure out what will happen when Palestine is liberated

I swear to God, they will keep walking to Al-Aqsa Mosque crying from joy

No one can imagine the feeling, especially after all the suffering we've seen and lived through

We are Palestinians in Gaza, but we want a decent life, a house to cover ourselves in, and work to live on, and we don't want more than that, no cars, no villas, most of them say that

My dream is to live in a house that at least looks like our house that burned down, which is no longer suitable for living, and to have a car, a wife, and my own business. This is one of my dreams that will never come true, that I travel around the world and see the world, and my dream is to go to a forest and see natural scenery, rivers, and trees. There are many dreams, but they are impossible to come true in these circumstances

I wanna cry 😭 💔

Yes this is accurate

Question to you: why sometimes respond in Arabic and then in English? Is there a difference in how you answer people's questions, when you switch languages?

[–] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 16 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

When I use English ,it’s mostly me ,sometimes I use Arabic

But Arabic on those 2 post was like 97% my friend because he answered me in Arabic ,there was the odd one or two question he answered in English but it was rare
