Israeli diplomats are being instructed to lobby members of the US Congress to pressure South Africa into dropping its case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), where Pretoria is calling on the world court to label Israel's actions in Gaza as a genocide against Palestinians.

"We are asking you to immediately work with lawmakers on the federal and state level, with governors and Jewish organizations to put pressure on South Africa to change its policy towards Israel and to make clear that continuing their current actions like supporting Hamas and pushing anti-Israeli moves in international courts will come with a heavy price," read a cable from Israel's foreign ministry to its embassy and all consulates in the US.

According to Axios, the Israeli diplomats were also told to push for legislation against South Africa at the state and federal levels in the US, with the foreign ministry stating that "even if they won't materialize, presenting them and talking about them will be important" in influencing the African nation's policy.

So this foreign interference is okay? Because Israel?

Foreign interference, extortion, conspiracy to extort a third party, more libel and slander than you can shake a Trump at, persecution of dissidents both internal and external, state censorship of dissent rivaling that of China and Russia, ditto disinformation campaigns..

And that's not even all of the (mostly) NONviolent ones.

Clearly, there's no depths of depravity that would condemn any other country to sanctions if not "preemptive" invasions that the US won't fucking CELEBRATE when coming from the most moral inherently genocidal apartheid regime.

Its because we need them to enforce the Petro-Dollar and the middle east. It has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with imperialism and economics. We are once again sacrificing people at the altar of Mammon in hopes He keeps our sacred currency rates high.

No... US clearly belongs to Israel, not the other way around. This is what happens when politicians are bought and Americans have been conditioned that you can never say no to Israel or you're an antisemite.

US clearly belongs to Israel

Close: Israel is an integral part of the Military industrial complex that owns 99% of American politicians.

Puerto Rico: y'all getting statehood?

They already got a few progressive House members ousted with AIPAC money. Now they can use this information as a threat.

Aw is Israel trying to sick its dog on others?

Fuck off Nazis.

And Biden is gonna do it.

Cuz you know. 4 million in campaign donations over the years buys a lot of loyalty.

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 13 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

The donations would be enough, but Biden is an actual believer of Zionism and has been very clear about this for his entire political career. He'd do it for free.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

That too. We really need to end Citizens United and get rid of foreign-interest money.

I think this has important ramifactions for all non white Americans. The response to this will show, whether non white people are allowed to demand justice, or whether just asking a court to rule on a case, so the mere access the judicial system, is reserved to white people alone.

It does not matter if the face of an administration or party is black, asian, a woman or of whichever marginalized group. The fundamental question is:

Will people outside the white supremacy be allowed to seek justice from an independent court or not?

Every Friend Of Israel US Congressman and UK PM is by definition a Traitor (as are any other members of a governing body anywhere that represent a foreign power).

Getting rid of the traitors working for foreign powers within US Politics is how you start solving this problem.
