Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Yeah, I know it was a mistake but the responsible thing is to carry that campaign full term.

[–] Bakkoda@sh.itjust.works 24 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The campaign will reject this naturally

Or some crazy shit i dunno

[–] TrippaSnippa@lemm.ee 15 points 2 months ago (1 children)

If it's a legitimate discontinuation the campaign has a way of shutting the whole thing down.

[–] Bakkoda@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago

That so much better than mine haha

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 89 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This is hilarious.

So. would it be improper to see how many votes he takes from Turnip anyway?

[–] ug01x@lemmy.world 62 points 2 months ago (2 children)

This will be Trump's latest float in the I got cheated pity parade he is always throwing.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago

So. Over/under at let’s say 1% in at least 1 swing state?

[–] IphtashuFitz@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Before the election actually occurs I’m sure he’ll start throwing a tantrum over how all RFK votes should be counted as Trump votes.

[–] imPastaSyndrome@lemm.ee 85 points 2 months ago

Insists to be let on, can't get on some, sues to be.

Can't get removed from ballot.

It's just too much

[–] misterundercoat@lemmy.world 54 points 2 months ago (1 children)

RFK could not be reached for comment, but was reportedly seen in his backyard tying dozens of pigeons to a lawn chair to see if he could fly.

I watched a movie about that guy when I was a kid

[–] BigMacHole@lemm.ee 49 points 2 months ago

I KNOW the Election Fraud people are going to 100% SUPPORT THIS since LEGALLY he CAN'T be Removed from the Ballot!

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 39 points 2 months ago

Lololol. Does brain worm guy think that being on the ballot might draw more votes for the brain worms guy from Republicans than Democrats? Why would he think that, I wonder?

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 37 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Sorry, you raspy-voiced, whithered testicle.

You get to be a spoiler to Trump. 🤣

[–] Furball@sh.itjust.works 40 points 2 months ago (1 children)

By the way, the voice he has is from a medical condition and isnt one of the many things we should make fun of the carcass collector for

[–] vulgarcynic@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm sorry that karma gave this cunt a gravely voice. Deeply sorry. Hopefully whatever it was is fatal next time.

[–] Furball@sh.itjust.works 40 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I’m not saying this because I feel sorry for him but other people also have this condition and making fun of one bad person who has it hurts good people who have it.

[–] meeeeetch@lemmy.world 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's even worse for regular people with the condition, because the next most famous guy with it is Scott Adams, the Dilbert guy.

[–] TehWorld@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Who also just happens to be a MAGA shithead. Filbert was funny in the beginning, tapered off a bit as he ran thinner on material (as most all comic strips do) but I don’t bother to read it after finding out more about Adams.

[–] meeeeetch@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I was just sad to find out (after falling away from the funnies pages for a decade or so) that he had sided with the pointiest haired boss he could find.

This is goddamn hilarious

[–] RickRussell_CA@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Does anyone think that RFK Jr would be any kind of spoiler? If he got as much as 0.5% of the vote in any state, I'd be floored. I mean, I guess it could be a super-close race, but I don't think it was a given that all of RFK's voters would turn Trump anyway.

[–] magiccupcake@lemmy.world 30 points 2 months ago

. 5% in a swing state is not nothing, could very much make the election in a state like Pennsylvania.

[–] Xanthrax@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

You should make a ridiculous bet so we can all reference this later, just in case. Preferably with photos, please.

(I'm not hoping that would happen, but we'd have a silver lining if it did)

[–] RickRussell_CA@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

I'll stand to it. See you in November.

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

This is what we've come to exp3ct from third party candidates. Some might have good intentions but if they any sort of momentum expect there is some sort of parasite infesting their head.
