"whether they like it or not"

This is going to happen. Whether or not it's ever "official policy", people are going to be killed by this.
None of that matters because they made more money last time he was in office.
I'm starting to think that money in politics is a problem...
Fellas, is it gay to have sex with your wife?
It's looking for a gotcha moment to take out of context. During the last Australian federal election the then-Opposition leader (now Prime Minister) was asked what the Reserve Bank cash rate was and he didn't know off the top of his head. The media and now-former government tried to beat it up as a big problem and proof that he wasn't fit to be PM, which is ridiculous (though his actual performance as PM so far is underwhelming). It did lead to a great moment a couple of days later though when they tried it on the leader of the Greens, who just replied "Google it, mate".
Don't you think he looks tired?
Cries in Australian
As a junior-to-mid-level developer I find myself having to rewrite the boilerplate code copilot comes up with as often as not, or it will get things slightly wrong that I then have to go back and fix. I'm starting to think that most of the time it would be just as quick for me to just write it all myself.
Unfortunately the press and the peanut gallery have it very wrong on this one.
Deliberately. Comparing it to the Purge rather than the Kristallnacht gives the majority of people who only read the headline the wrong idea about what he actually meant, which derails the discussion towards "crazy old man says another crazy thing" rather than "crazy old fascist says another fascist thing".
In Australia you can buy permanent residency, which is then a pathway to citizenship.
It's the same here. The Therapeutic Goods Administration, our equivalent to the FDA, generally follows along with FDA regulations (though I don't think that will continue from next year somehow).
