"It's just for fun bro. It's not like we know that the Empire's design in Star Wars was explicitly based off the Axis powers, and that we are subtly attempting to normalize pro-fascist sentiment and aesthetics under the guise of fandom for a fictional entity."

A few weeks ago, the German army tried to silently whitewash Wehrmacht and SS war criminals by naming them as "tradition-formers", "trend-setters" and "pioneers" of the modern German army.

Literally cannot parse what the message might be, there is no unclearer message. "We're the empire and we love it? You're the empire and we love it? You're the empire and we hate it because we're the rebels?" (Lol)

It seems like it's just a "Heh, isn't it great to be openly racist and genocidal again? Just like the good old days!
