On Sunday, Musk also tweeted out a video of Harris saying her pronouns and describing her appearance for accessibility and captioned the post, “Imagine 4 years of this…”

woke derangement is so hilarious. the vast majority of people don't gaf about this, and their insistence on pointing it out is so alienating.

look at this person being considerate!? anyone else hate considering others!?

yeah she was literally in a room with blind people and disability leaders in that clip. not surprised the most basic anti-ableism bothers him, tesla's been known to violate the ADA

Elon is very happy that there's a group of people who don't know how he looks.

I meant to reply to the parent comment but oh well

[–] MarxMadness@lemmygrad.ml 34 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It's also stuff that doesn't happen much now anyway, and takes 10 seconds if it does.

[–] NapoleonBlownApart@hexbear.net 5 points 3 months ago

Sure beats cynical land acknowledgements that nobody plans on honoring.

[–] Pentacat@hexbear.net 6 points 3 months ago

I was making small talk about work at a kid’s party recently, and the guy asked me “Is woke ever a problem at your job?”

I responded like a person who is pretending to know what something means: “My job is pretty straightforward, etc.”

It’s dumbfounding to me that there are people talking about this stuff in real life. At kids’ birthday parties!

Oh my God! Soviet Democratic People's Republic of China much?

[–] JoeByeThen@hexbear.net 59 points 3 months ago

That being said. let-them-fight

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 78 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Russia this, Russia that, calls coming from inside the house

[–] WeedReference420@hexbear.net 4 points 3 months ago

I've seen libs unironically claim that Musk is a Russian asset because he said Ukraine should surrender (I believe because some of his businesses rely on goods and services from Russia so he's hoping for the war to be wrapped up and sanctions to be lifted) so I look forward to hearing waaaaay more of that in the foreseeable future.

Yet she continues to post there. Along with every other dumb ass politician

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 67 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Between this and him making it so people can't block Trump hashtags I'm starting to think this Elon guy might have not been totally honest about not picking a side.

[–] axont@hexbear.net 57 points 3 months ago

And it doesn't even matter to him. Neither person being president would do anything to his wealth or influence. He's just very divorced and his kids hate him.

Nationwide political movement of shitty dads whose trans kids don't talk to them anymore

[–] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 65 points 3 months ago

I guess her ideas aren't very competitive in the free market???

[–] BaalInvoker@lemmy.eco.br 63 points 3 months ago

Freedom and free market, they say

[–] Cysioland@lemmygrad.ml 62 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Imagine the US government starting a Mastodon instance

[–] knightly@hexbear.net 45 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I would be genuinely surprised if there wasn't a server with three-letter-agency backing.

[–] bestmiaou@lemmygrad.ml 44 points 3 months ago (1 children)

infosec dot exchange. they gleefully welcomed feds on there

[–] BoneALisa@hexbear.net 23 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What the context for this? I'm on infosec.town on an alt profile because of the tech people on it lol

[–] bestmiaou@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 3 months ago (1 children)

i know at one point they were quite proud to have a federal (DHS i think?) cybersecurity department on there. like, there was an announcement. this was a couple years ago, so i guess stuff may have changed since then, but i don't trust like that.

[–] Cysioland@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 3 months ago

Honestly the whole infosec establishment just reeks of fedry (lots of Polish infosec bloggers brownnose the Polish cyber cops/cyber military)

[–] tactical_trans_karen@hexbear.net 62 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Seize all social media and Amazon, and nationalize it.

[–] newerAccountWhoDis@hexbear.net 47 points 3 months ago (1 children)

seize all private property and socialize it.

[–] tactical_trans_karen@hexbear.net 19 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Elon gets sent to the public works labor gulag without possibility of release.

[–] Pentacat@hexbear.net 5 points 3 months ago

He gets melted down for spare plastic.

In Minecraft. Etc.

[–] RedWizard@hexbear.net 40 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What are the chances that the infrastructure propping up Twitter is so degraded that it couldn't handle such a massive influx of new follows to a single account?

[–] Tabitha@hexbear.net 21 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I hope so, I love crime, as an illegalist, I fully support breaking laws, what law is being broken?

[–] anonochronomus@hexbear.net 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I'm not 100% seeing how I don't really care much for the laws in a dog shit hellhole founded on genocide and slavery, but I'm pretty sure it's a 1st amendment violation bc of how official twitter accounts for members of the government are considered protected speech.

[–] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 19 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The first amendment binds the government, not the public. I believe the context you're referring to only applies to official social media accounts blocking US citizens

[–] anonochronomus@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, you're probably right. Shame, Elon should be sent to a camp.

[–] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 15 points 3 months ago

yes he should sicko-wistful

[–] Mokey@hexbear.net 24 points 3 months ago
[–] stigsbandit34z@hexbear.net 17 points 3 months ago

Almost like “serious” people should stop giving legitimacy to what is effectively stormfront?

But capital doesn’t care and that’s why the press as well as other institutions have followed right along

[–] NapoleonBlownApart@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago

Stop.

Using.

Twitter.

[–] stigsbandit34z@hexbear.net 11 points 3 months ago
