entirely unnecessary English usage pedantry only of interest to nerds who want to infiltrate the American deep state by virtue of flawless diction
although "periodical" has acquired an adjectival sense through normal processes of language change, it sounds more natural to me to use "periodic" as an adjective here instead. "periodical" started as a noun that meant "regular publication like a magazine or a newspaper". that being said what you wrote is perfectly understandable and most people probably wouldn't notice at all.ugh even with the spoiler I still feel like a dork for saying this
You're completely right- I fucked up and there's no excuse. I will reflect on this failure and call up my old English teachers to let them know I let them down
I can be pedantic about this sort of stuff too so I actually appreciate the correction and will pay attention to periodic vs periodical in the future
