If they do this they're pretty much nailing the coffin on Xbox. This is literally the one thing that's drawing people in to buy an Xbox, nothing else will.

Is gamepass a draw?

I mean Gp has 30m subs

Nso has 37 million

And ps+ has 47 million

Saying gamepass is drawing people in seems a bit much given how it's the least popular of the big 3 subscription services

Gamepass is around 40+ milions.

The last numbers I could find for Sept of this year had them at 30 million where did you get the 40 million number?

Xbox sales without game pass would be abysmal, as would Xbox sales without game pass being exclusive to Microsoft products. What else draws people to Xbox? You could make a case for availability and price (which is why I personally bought a series x), but it’s not the exclusives or the hardware components at the very least.

If you mean the Xbox consoles, maybe.

Xbox in general? The opposite. Becoming a full service would open the gates to really become the Netflix of gaming. The definitive gaming platform.

Yeah Xbox consoles not Xbox as a service. I fully agree with your point honestly it would be crazy but Xbox would lose its entire identity in the process
