If you mean the Xbox consoles, maybe.

Xbox in general? The opposite. Becoming a full service would open the gates to really become the Netflix of gaming. The definitive gaming platform.

Gamepass is around 40+ milions.

Happy to be part of the problem then. I love it, keep spending 70+ for every game.

No? It's like, the opposite? Gamepass is a success and it's great. But for It's nature, being a Subscription Service, limiting his user base to just a console makes no sense.

That's why it's on PC. And smartphone. And smart tvs.

Is Netflix desperate because they put Netflix everywhere? Is Apple desperate because they put Apple TV+ everywhere? Is Amazon desperate because they put Prime Video Everywhere?

Same for Gamepass. They are the only one with enough games and IP's (little remainder, they own Minecraft and Cod) to do that. And they know.

Once the subscription money start rolling, consoles become a thing of the past. Sony know that, but since they dont have the same resources and teams that Xbox have, they cant. So they need consoles (selling them at loss i remind you) so that they can have the 30% on every third party sale.

It's the opposite. Consoles are sold as a loss. They have Gamepass, that's what Xbox really is. They know that It would be a mega hit on PlayStation and Nintendo.

That's like sayng that Apple is desperate because they put Apple TV+ everywhere and not just on Apple TV devices. Or that Amazon is desperate because they punto Prime Video everywhere instead of just on the Firesticks.
