They want a complete control over games. Not only you don't "own" any of the games there, but also you pay on a monthly basis. Sure, for casuals it's a great deal, but I don't like where this will lead.

No, they really want to prepare to exit the hardware business. If you can get people subscribing for Call of Duty, you don’t need to spend millions annually developing hardware only to finish 3rd place in sales behind your competitors.
