Do you play video games with your spouse? What do you play together? Do you have coop sessions? I want to hear your stories.

My husband (40M) is a PC gamer. I (40F) have recently started playing coop games with him. I've tried playing in the past, but I never get very far due to the intensity in most of them. Recently, we started playing co-op games together so he can help me out while we play, and I can actually enjoy the game. I was just curious what other couples play and if you have any recommendations for us.

PC games we've played in co-op: Splinter Cell, Breakpoint, Green Hell, Astroneer, Grounded, and we just started Icarus. *The only one we truly finished together is SplinterCell and most of Breakpoint.

Yes actually we play a lot and have two Xboxes and two TVs in the living room. I think it started with the first Plants vs Zombies Garden warfare. We would swap the controller each match (I always had to play zombies). Then I think we moved on to Borderlands 2 split screen. Played a TON of that. Then she started playing her own games and I just had to support her by buying the games lol. Ratchet and clank games were big for her, then she amazed me and played through Witcher 3 two separate times in her free time. That’s when I decided we need to get married haha.

Now with the current home sharing of games on Xbox, we can play any game side-by-side even if it’s not coop. Current rotation of games is FO76, Assassins Creed and if we get bored we go back and start a new playthrough of Borderlands 2 or 3. The single player games are still fun to be playing together in the same room so we can kind of help each other out or talk about what happened in the story. As someone who has had pretty much every console since the NES, I am incredibly happy with the current situation.
