Gaming underwent a lot of changes over the last two decades, to say the least. Does every other new title need to be an open world? Or necessarily have to integrate some sort of always-online multiplayer elements (Soulsborne comes to mind)? What would a fresh and new 'Metroid Prime' have to be like to you, in this day and age?

Nah let's keep space travel to sim games honestly. Too many games recently have gone the route of "fly your own ship!" and have gone down bad routes like Star Citizen and Star Field.

If you add flight into Metroid then they'll want to add that as a whole part of the game where now instead of running, rolling, and blasting as Samus you'll be flying the ship around pew pewing at Space Pirate ships.
